Account was mine originally but remains dormant and inaccessible - I would like the userpage and subpages removed. I only have my current account ShadowWarfare as the only account on Wikipedia which will be the only account used on the Wikimedia sites. I did not leave an email address on the account in the preferences at that time. ShadowWarfare 16:57, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
@ShadowWarfare: It would be quicker if you added the G7 template to it instead. Catfurball (talk) 17:32, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hi! I've just done that just now - I'm curious as to why I didn't get told this on Meta before I placed the request but anyway I've done what you've suggested. ShadowWarfare 17:44, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
- Comment I'm sorry but we can't just take your word for it that this is your previous account. You can bundle all of the User pages into this nomination and see if others will agree with your argument but we can't CSD G7 all of this account's User pages based on your claim. Liz Read! - @Liz: I think we can take the user's word for it: it's only a userpage for an inactive user since 2017 after all, why would ShadowWarfare lie. Bureaucracy and unnecessary stubbornness like this is one of the reasons some editors are quitting. After all, assume good faith. — MATRIX! - @ShadowWarfare: If you can do so try to use one of the procedures at WP:COMPROMISED to erase as much doubt as possible. — MATRIX! (a good person!)[citation unneeded] 21:39, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
- I'm not lying, it was my account and I would like the userpage and subpages erased. Also I would like also my userpage erased as I'm quitting the site as I find it too toxic nowadays. ShadowWarfare (talk) 21:46, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
- Also If WP:COMPROMISED is what users want then go ahead I'm using the same computer which I used back then and it hasn't changed and I don't even know how to change my IP address. ShadowWarfare (talk) 21:48, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
- Well all I can say is point proven. I don't exactly think we need a checkuser to check user agents to delete a userpage. — MATRIX! (a good person!)[citation unneeded] 21:56, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
- Redirecting is a more effective method of “erasure”. It doesn’t draw attention to the pages. Wikipedia mirrors, although they usually don’t mirror userspace they can, will replace their record of your userpages with a record of redirection, without the history.
- Later, if you do have a privacy concern, see WP:Oversight. Email privacy concerns, never publicly post that you have privacy concerns. SmokeyJoe (talk) 00:20, 28 December 2023 (UTC)

- Redirect all to user:ShadowWarfare. The retired user hasn’t given an explanation for why these pages should be deleted rather than redirected. I see no privacy concerns on the Userpage or the subpages. -SmokeyJoe (talk) 00:14, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
- Liz is correct, and people should not advocate for the misuse of CSD templates. SmokeyJoe (talk) 00:16, 28 December 2023 (UTC)

- Redirect all as SmokeyJoe suggests (and also per Liz). We generally don't delete main user pages and talk pages (I think), but do delete userspace subpages on that user's demand. Things are a bit more difficult if we can't be sure it's the actual user asking, though. Redirecting will remove the text from general public view, retain it in history if it would ever need to be resuscitated (e.g. CiceroHunter comes back and wants it back). At a quick glance, I see nothing which would reflect negatively or even meaningfully on CiceroHunter, so I hope this is an acceptable but reversible solution for everyone.
