  • Reason: I've been getting a lot of abuse for my current name and would just rather not deal with it anymore. By changing my account name to Hajji Piruz, I hope the attacks will end and that people dont assume that I'm taking a certain side in a dispute (which obviously, is an understandable mistake to make since my name is based on an ethnic group) and people will see me as the non-biased person that I actually am. Hajji Piruz is also more appropriate. Simply changing the appearance of my name wont do much for my situation, as people will still see the "Azerbaijani" part in certain places. Thanks.  Clerk note: Azerbaijani is currenty under ArbCom sanction and placed on revert parole - Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Armenia-Azerbaijan#Azerbaijani placed on revert parole, a change of username may confuse enforcement of the remedy. Also, the enforcement of the remedy is that if Azerbaijani were to receive 5 blocks for parole violations in one year, he would be banned for one year. I will inform all the admins involved about my name change by posting a message on the Arbcom page if the name change happens. I will also manually change my name on the list so that it will clearly show that I get blocked. It was clearly a mistake to use my email address as my username, because I get a daily flooding of spam from using it. Also, because I have been using the handle "Voltaire", I feel particularity attached to the name. However, "Voltaire" is a registered name with 3 edits, though only to userpages, so I was not able to usurp that name. "Volt@ire" would be a great second choice, but even after reading the policy on usernames, I am not entirely sure if I am allowed to use leetspeak in my username. Thanks for your time!
