Article about semi-pro footballer that was deleted at AfD in February 2011, but recreated after he made a single appearance in the fully-pro USL Pro during April 2011. More recently, he has created a product Yondr that appears to be notable in itself, but his footballing career is not notable (the only mentions are trivial, such as transfer announcements and database entries). There is an in-depth story about him from the Washington Post but it barely mentions his football career (just a sentence about playing college soccer). I'm inclined to redirect this BLP to the Yondr article, but otherwise it appears to fail WP:NFOOTBALL and WP:GNG. Jogurney (talk) 17:30, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - there is longstanding consensus that scraping by on NFOOTBALL with one or two appearances is insufficient when GNG is failed so comprehensively, as is the case here. If sources are found please ping me. GiantSnowman 18:36, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Keep - probably enough coverage about non-soccer career to meet GNG. GiantSnowman 13:11, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. I've seen "not played in any pro tournament" thrown around as a reason for deletion before so I'm surprised to see this nominated for deletion. Passes WP:NFOOTBALL and also notable as a company founder, combine these and I feel the article should be kept. NemesisAT (talk) 19:06, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@NemesisAT: it's literally what WP:NFOOTBALL says and is used on nearly every football AFD, so you clearly haven't seen many. FWIW there's a heap of AFD consensus confirming that scraping NFOOTBALL but failing GNG does not confer notability, see this (which also details others) and this and this, amongst many, many others.
