- Merge to Galway Bay. The tragedy has some mentions in modern sources, but not many or much detail; and the article on Galway Bay is itself quite short. --Colapeninsula (talk) 13:22, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
- Merge to Galway Bay... notable event but it was a one-off and does not seem to have had any lasting impact (eg, no arrests were made in the case, not an international incident, no laws were put into effect as a result). —МандичкаYO 😜 18:30, 6 May 2015 (UTC)
- Keep. The article needs work, but the subject appears to be notable. Everyking (talk) 19:03, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
- Delete. In the past 400 years, thousands of sailors and fishermen have died off the coast in Galway Bay. We can't have a memorial article for every boat that went down. There would be hundreds of such stubs. Drowning was a predictable and all too common risk. Sorry for their loss, but what about Mrs. MacNamara's sons? Bearian (talk) 19:11, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
- Did anybody suggest creating a bunch of "memorial articles"? The subject appears to be notable, so it's just another article about a notable event. What's so scary about having more articles like that? Everyking (talk) 20:34, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
- Redirect/Merge to Galway Bay. BenLinus1214talk 19:38, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
