Declined Prod. This article is about a U.S. Coast Guard rear admiral with no significant combat service. Several routine command and staff appointments only. This officer fails the notability requirement. Buckshot06 (talk) 05:11, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Conditional keep: unreferenced BLP. If some sources can be found, I think he has just enough notability to squeak by WP:MILPEOPLE (a few commands of notable aviation units, though I'm loathe to stop Coastie-bashing long enough to admit it). bahamut0013wordsdeeds 17:56, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. No suggestion that this person has attracted any of the attention required to make them notable. The Land (talk) 13:33, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep What it actually needs is an update: the current official bio , a reliable official source, is at [1] Significant political role in his present and past positions, which are sufficient high in the hierarchy to be non-routine. The material is US-PD, What we need is some attention to these older articles, but if the attention is properly paid, by looking for current sources, the result will be improvement, not deletion. It's obvious the nom. did not attempt to look, or he would have found what I did--it's the first entry in Google. DGG ( talk ) 01:21, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. Notable person. Personally, I think that command and staff appointments are more significant than combat. But he does have the transportation 9/11 medal. Hawkeye7 (talk) 09:05, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep For the reasons above. --Kumioko (talk) 15:27, 31 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep per DGG; the man's directorship of Joint Interagency Task Force South puts him a cut above. Binksternet (talk) 04:08, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - Meets WP:SOLDIER, however it needs more references. --RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 15:00, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- This AfD nomination was incomplete (missing step 3). It is listed now. DumbBOT (talk) 11:33, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
