Keep - the existing article cites multiple, independent Reliable Sources and therefore meets WP:NBIO and the WP:GNG. Varney made extensive contributions to Paranoia (role-playing game), notably as author and line editor, and the game received industry-leading recognition during his tenure, and was reviewed extensively - this is a clear pass for WP:NAUTHOR points 3 and 4.
