Edit summary
Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Kolbasz (talk) 12:45, 16 October 2016 (UTC)

Hi, I have created page for Garry Kanfer, president of Big Drop Inc company. But you nominated it for speedy deletion for spam. Listen. You've been doing good work, and we appreciate that. But you're quite clearly not a novice.
I politely ask you to confirm whether you have had a previous Wikipedia account. DS (talk) 17:37, 17 October 2016 (UTC)

Hello, I am rather very new to this. So, still trying to figure my way. I had remove a spam notice few times and was confused why it was still coming on...I did not create the Irina Vitjaz page, I was simply adding info to the content already created. I am in the world of charitable work, fashion, entertainment, sports and arts and hope to make viable contributions to this world. Zigzagazig (talk) 20:20, 31 October 2016 (UTC)
Medicals International
Hi please can you let me know why you deleted my page? It is objective i can remove the subjective part if there is any. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joycejab (talk • contribs) 07:45, 19 October 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, I didn't delete it, two administrators did. I did nominate it for deletion though, because the whole thing was written in a promotional tone, and needed a complete re-write. I would strongly recommend that you not write about your company on Wikipedia. If it's notable, someone else will eventually, and they'll probably find it easier to write about it from a WP:Neutral point of view. Thanks, Wikishovel (talk) 07:59, 19 October 2016 (UTC)
but i only mentioned what we do i didn't understand where i was subjective in the below paragraphe: "Medicals International is a regional distribution company headquartered in Lebanon and specialized in the marketing and sales of medical and optical supplies. It is present in 16 offices across the Middle East, North Africa, and East Mediterranean and cater to 16 regional markets in the fields of vision care, ophthalmology, dermatology and aesthetics, dentistry, and critical care." For the history paragraphe it was only dates and offices or the suppliers i only state them. the only part that may be subjective is the CSR part and i can remove it.Joycejab (talk) 08:39, 19 October 2016 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joycejab (talk • contribs) 08:15, 19 October 2016 (UTC) Joycejab (talk) 08:39, 19 October 2016 (UTC)

Jaishankar Chigurula
Hello there, I have declined the speedy from Jaishankar Chigurula (Director) because the article was not deleted because of the deletion discussion and the article was speedily deleted under G5. You can refill the AfD if you wish. Thank you – GSS (talk) 17:45, 25 October 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, I sent a thankyou for that: I hadn't seen that speedy had been declined by someone other than the two socks involved. I won't bother with an AFD, because this is about to get G5'd shortly. Wikishovel (talk) 17:46, 25 October 2016 (UTC)

- It's looking better now: it was an article about a living person created without any WP:Reliable sources, but it has at least one now, and the second one is probably OK too. Have read of WP:BLP: Wikipedia is a bit strict about what we can write about a living person. But I don't see a lot about him online in English, to show how he's notable per WP:BIO. How do you spell his name in his own language (I'm thinking maybe Urdu or Punjabi)? Once we know that, we can try to hunt around for some more references. Thanks, Wikishovel (talk) 12:44, 26 October 2016 (UTC)

My Dad Wrote a Porno
Believe it or not, it's legit! I added a couple sources, but it exists and surprisingly has gotten coverage on Buzzfeed, The Guardian, GQ Magazine UK, and others. I was surprised, but a quick Google search turned up a few hits. Just letting you since I removed your CSD tag. RickinBaltimore (talk) 13:18, 27 October 2016 (UTC)
- And Rocky Flintstone is a real name... that's got to be a pseudonym, or a name changed for promotional reasons, like Faith Popcorn . Should have Google for it, you're right. Thanks for the fix. Wikishovel (talk) 13:22, 27 October 2016 (UTC)
Akash Jain
Hi Wikishovel, This is in reference with the page Advit Sahdev. The page was removed last time quoting on the reference articles. The page has been recreated with fresh content and new set of reference articles. Please review the same. I also have contested the speed deletion of the page. Akash207 (talk) 14:19, 27 October 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Akash207. I didn't see the original, so we'll need to let the admins compare what's there now and what was deleted. Thanks, Wikishovel (talk) 15:19, 27 October 2016 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Jean-Luc Vaillant
The article Jean-Luc Vaillant has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- no indication of notability outside of LinkedIn
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Jax 0677 (talk) 21:01, 27 October 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for BS-map-v2 page transfer
Hi Wikishovel! Thanks for message to my talk page re the prefixing of user space drafts. Yes, a) I forgot abut the prefix (I'm 5yrs on Wikipedia, but only created my first user sub-page a couple of days ago), and b) You guessed correctly, I am indeed the "Pete" account. I write my name as Peter most places, but the other ("Peter") account was already taken when I began on Wikipedia. Thanks for also setting speedy deletion underway for the Peter Hobbs/Westbahn BS-map-v2" page. Pete Hobbs (talk) 06:28, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
- No problem! Looks like you're working really hard on a geographic article. Thanks, Wikishovel (talk) 06:29, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
I undid the reversion of your redirect. It was the right move, I'm not sure why you second guessed yourself. Thomas & Friends has a lot of detail about different releases in it's infobox and there is a whole section about "Broadcast" at the bottom. Definitely no need for a separate article. Brightgalrs (/braɪtˈɡæl.ərˌɛs/)[1] 07:06, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
- Agreed about no need for a separate article, but the redirect target doesn't list international releases, and contains a comment about not adding any more videos, as there are a large number of them about. Wikishovel (talk) 07:10, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
Request to save the Article: Ajay Veer Yadav
Hello Sir, I saw that you have requested for Speedy Deletion for the page: Ajay Veer Yadav. I have met him personally and covered a few protests that the Teaching community has organized. I see that the article is written from a promotional point of view but that facts are true. Hello Wikishovel, I have created a page for Matt Phipps, creator of skaters atlas and a photographer. I have included links to several of his interviews in multiple countries and languages. What can you recommend to do so that this article is not deleted? He has been featured in magazines in Argentina, Chile, Austria, Mexico and the United States. His work is regularly posted to the top skateboarding websites in the world. Thank you for your help. Have a nice evening.Mpfilm (talk) 18:10, 29 October 2016 (UTC)(talk)
- @Mpfilm: Hi, it's entirely possible that I didn't find coverage that shows his notability. Please add it to the article. If you know of offline sources, those are fine too, in any language. Please let me know if you want any help adding references. Thanks, Wikishovel (talk) 19:03, 29 October 2016 (UTC)

खीरा रायता
Hi. You have delted my article with title खीरा रायता at "Hindi Wikipedia" and notified me a reason that the same page is existing at "English Wikipedia" by the title "Cucumber Raita"; so my article is duplicate content and hence marked for speedy deletion.
I'm confused that what wrong I did? So kindly guide me about my following 2 queries:
If Hindi version is considered as "duplication" of "English" version then Do you mean that Wikipedia is now onwards for "ONLY" English users?
In addition to this, if wikipedia is not accepting articles other than in "English" language then why there is "Add Links" option in wikipedia to connect the pages of different languages written on same topic?
Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sonia Goyal Jaipur (talk • contribs) 09:32, 21 October 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Sonia. No, English Wikipedia isn't only for English users, but all articles here do need to be written in English. So I nominated the article you started, खीरा रायता, for deletion here at English Wikipedia, because we already have the article in English: cucumber raita. Now if you want to translate that to Hindi, that would be great. The right place for that translation is at Hindi Wikipedia: https://hi.wikipedia.org/wiki/खीरा_रायता. Or if you can write a better article in Hindi yourself, without translation, that would also be excellent. Thanks! Wikishovel (talk) 09:39, 21 October 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for the explanation. I do understand my mistake. I wanted to write that article at "Hindi" Wikipedia, but by mistake I've submitted it at "English" Wikipedia. Thanks to create a Hindi page for same. Sonia Goyal Jaipur (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 06:54, 4 November 2016 (UTC)

Tennis statistics updates
After already having reverted the correct update of a fellow user at Jesika Malečková and I, the main updater of statistics of selected players on the ITF Women's Circuit, making the same update to the page (albeit with correct project formatting), I think you should have consulted either 2016 ITF Women's Circuit (October–December) (the results page, from which the article in question is linked) or either one of the two external links given at the bottom of the page (which would have supplied you this information). As you should have seen, both of us edit heavily in tennis-related articles, including this one. If you're not sure how tennis biographies or tournaments are updated, then I suggest you don't edit them, or take extra care when reverting additions of tournament results each week. The reason why I'm dropping you a courtesy, personal note is because I have undone your deletion of the results update, i.e. you were wrong, and I wanted to point this out to you rather than a yoyo of undo-clicking. If I can provide any further help, then please, by all means, let me know. Jared Preston (talk) 20:55, 9 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Jared Preston: the article is a WP:BLP with many unreferenced claims, and no footnotes. Where in the references you mention above is the record for her 2014 matches at Horb and Prague, Hluboká nad Vltavou, Antalya, her 2015 matches at Szczawno-Zdrój and Breda, etc? Wikishovel (talk) 00:12, 10 November 2016 (UTC)
- If you take, for example, her ITF profile, click on the tab "activity", scroll down to "view all" and then you'll have to search. The URLs don't change for each tab, they never have done, there's nothing I can do about that. Similar to the ITF profiles are those at the WTA, here Malečková's – click on the tab "results", pick the year 2014, all tournaments, singles, click "find", and you will find the results there too. Or you go to the Wikipedia quarter-year results pages, where there are links either to the ITF's tournament draws and/or pages. The people who update results on tennis biographies are usually authentic, I've never had any issues aside from Wikipedia-style formatting (like dates, dashes etc.) Jared Preston (talk) 09:31, 10 November 2016 (UTC)
- Leaving that lengthy exercise to the reader, when you could footnote at least the 2014 Horb tournament, etc., is simply not good enough for a WP:BLP. Please don't remove the nofootnotes template from the article again: there's a large batch of tennis BLPs like it that need proper footnoting. Wikishovel (talk) 09:42, 10 November 2016 (UTC)

i understand your concern because my actions could be related with vandalism. However, this user i reverted engages in abusive WP:OVERDETAIL and his English is also a bit subpar. I am a veteran of ten years so you can trust me on this one. I will cleanup the article still today, pinky swear :)
Attentively, sorry for any inconvenience --85.242.133.151 (talk) 16:13, 9 November 2016 (UTC)
- OK, your edit summaries were very brief, so you might like to be a bit more specific with the summaries when you fix, to avoid this misunderstanding with other editors. Thanks, Wikishovel (talk) 16:16, 9 November 2016 (UTC)
Mr. Vilà duly cleaned up. Many many references were salvaged, but the "English" was just too much (example "putting out him on a sidelined", "following Soiledis' absent"), not to mention the already mentioned overdetail. Still tonight, i'll work on Mr. Baldé's piece. --85.242.133.151 (talk) 18:16, 9 November 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks. You can also tag the article with a {{copyedit}} tag, when the main problem is poor English. Wikishovel (talk) 18:20, 9 November 2016 (UTC)
Started with Mr. Baldé's cleanup, only thing missing now is the FC Kuban Krasnodar section, i'll get to it after dinner. Just to give you an idea of how much User:Timmy96 engages in overdetail, this footballer scored seven goals for the CA Osasuna football club, the user listed them ALL in the storyline, completely forbidden edit-wise. The "English"? Still very poor; he also writes endlessly about the injuries suffered by the athletes, no matter how minor they are.
Attentively --85.242.133.151 (talk) 19:58, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
- Done! I stand corrected, he overdetailed until the cows came home, writing ALL the goals for ALL the clubs! --85.242.133.151 (talk) 21:46, 12 November 2016 (UTC)

Hindu Persian Numerical system
Hello,
I would like to bring your attention to the corrections I made on Numerical system page. I understand this is wikipedia , and unfortunately offering wrong information especially regarding history of matters commonly happen.
But as you can read in the first paragraph of the description : "It was invented between the 1st and 4th centuries by Indian mathematicians. The system was adopted by Persian mathematicians (Muḥammad ibn Mūsā al-Khwārizmī's c. 825 book On the Calculation with Hindu Numerals) and Arab mathematicians (Al-Kindi's c. 830 volumes On the Use of the Hindu Numerals) by the 9th century. It later spread to medieval Europe by the High Middle Ages."
although the date of adaptation by Kindi is even much later than 830, it mentions that this system was used initially by Indo-Aryan (Persians) as part of the Empire itself. So respectfully I would like to ask you , to rename the page to Indo-Aryan or Indo-Persian numerical system. and correct all name representation of this system to what exactly is. Not based on political agendas. the same correction should be on the scripture. It is Persian script not arabic, which is Sanskrit with documentation in ancient libraries, which at that time the arab world had No books. and the only literate of those regions were Hebrew speaker, writers and scientists, who would exchange knowledge with their qualified neighbors/ families in Persia and Greece.
It is outmost important to save history and present readers across the world and through generation with Correct information, not made up, manipulated , distorted writings.

- Replacing all instances of the words "Hindu" and "Arabic" with "Persian", including blatant changes of book titles, as you did at Hindu–Arabic numeral system isn't "correction", it's vandalism. Wikishovel (talk) 05:46, 15 November 2016 (UTC)
Recent National Fossil Day Edits
Hi Wikishovel. I wanted to express that the information pulled from the recent National Fossil Day edits was in error. The previous information I added are from facts provided to me from the United States National Park Service to help engage the general global public. Particular emphasis was to present, list, and inform on the National Fossil Day logos since 2010.
It was also requested that images provided to me by the National Park Service for each NFD logo be posted along with the information and dates. I've been repeatedly denied the ability to post these public access images under copyright concerns by wikipedia.
Is there a way you can help me set this up? I would greatly appreciate the return of the previous information if possible.
Thank You for your time and consideration and I hope to hear from you soon.

- Hi Desertsabertooth. I can see on your Wikimedia Commons talk page that the images you uploaded were deleted because they were copyrighted, but when you uploaded them you described them as being your own work. We have to obey copyright law, no exceptions, or Wikipedia is legally liable for the breach.
- It's also important to write Wikipedia articles from a WP:Neutral point of view, and avoid straying into marketing, even for non-profit events like Fossil Day. What we write also has to be referenced by WP:Reliable sources, to WP:Verify what's written. If you have a WP:Conflict of interest, such as being employed by an organization involved, then it might be better for you not to write about the subject. If it's notable, then someone not connected with it will write about it eventually. Thanks, Wikishovel (talk) 06:13, 19 November 2016 (UTC)

Recent revert
You recently reverted an update I made to the Buell page. Over the years of checking this page, I have been dsiappointed to see much Buell official publicity regarding technology presented as fact when much of it is in reality "spin". Harley Davidson and in turn Buell have a long history of failing to reveal the horsepower put out by their engines in a clear and up-front manner. Buell was forced to use modified Sportster engines by it's inital parent (HD) and it continued to do so long after they had ceased to be technically competitive in the sports motorcycle industry. I think we do Wikipedia readers a disservice by perpetuating this corporate lie. BTW There's another deliberate lie in the article concerning the design of the V-Rod engine. This was never designed by HD and then forwarded to Porshe to gain EPA clearance. The design was done by a third party company, HD was incapable of designing such an advanced engine in-house at the time, in spite of the large size of their corporate coffers. Finally, if your username refers to your ownership of a HD Shovelhead, then you'll have to forgive me for categorizing you as just another HD/Buell apologist. If it refers to something else, then I retract that comment. Gerry from MN (talk) 20:09, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Gerry. I have no opinion on motorcycle engines of any type. I simply reverted your good faith edit because it was a statement of opinion, with no references. Please note that we all need to write from a WP: Neutral point of view, and use WP:Reliable sources to WP: Verify what we write. The name "Wikishovel" is about what I do here: shovel out pieces of gold from a mighty mountain of muck. All the best, Wikishovel (talk) 23:50, 20 November 2016 (UTC)

No disturbance
There is no distributive editing, you are injecting Wrong information regarding numerical system into world of information. The Hinu- Persian numerical system has been invented in the East Asia which in that time was part of Persian Empire, then as mentioned correctly in the page it has been developed and asserted by the Persian Mathematician Muḥammad ibn Mūsā al-Khwārizmī's c. 825 book and then traveled to the Arab world.
You Are doing Vandalism into Persian- Iranian History and the collection of their science contribution to the world. If you can't make all that correction, then Somebody else should be doing it for you. Only because you have been making edits on wikipedia does not make a criminal for the Theft of Knowledge.
How did a numerical system skipped a whole country from East to west , when it clearly states that it has been developed and used in the book of Calculation by Khwarazmi , which is still used today .
This page needs serious correction as it has been ignoring historical facts and the work of initial scientists. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.114.190.120 (talk) 21:09, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
- If it needs correction, then you need to correct it with references to WP:Verify your claim. Changing book titles in existing references, changing the text of referenced quotes, and deleting referenced information that doesn't suit your point of view, that is regarded as vandalism on Wikipedia. If you don't stop it, you're going to get blocked from editing by an administrator. Wikishovel (talk) 05:04, 22 November 2016 (UTC)

A Love to Last
Hi, WikiShovel! I just want to inform you about your concern on the A Love to Last and A Love To Last (TV series) Is only a misunderstanding. A Love to Last and A Love to Last (TV series) are both the same articles. Someone just had made a another page because he/she don't know that there is already one. I assure you that no copying of content is done because those two pages are the same. Thanks.— Preceding unsigned comment added by KyleC24 (talk • contribs)
- Hi KyleC24. I don't mean it was illegally copied, I mean you copy and pasted an old article to a new article with a different name, then redirected the old to the new. I've explained this at your talk page, along with instructions on the right way to rename an article. Thanks, Wikishovel (talk) 14:01, 25 November 2016 (UTC)
A Love to Last was renamed from "The Second Wife" so I copy and pasted all of the content to the new name of the show. Then, i redirected TSW's page to ALTL— Preceding unsigned comment added by KyleC24 (talk • contribs)

Attention
You've reverted a disruptive edit here, well done, but keep in mind that the vandal can get back, he proved to be extremely aggressive in his attempts to add a nationalist fringe theory to the article by all means possible, even by misinforming editors and administrators and violating WP: Neutral point of view, WP:Reliable sources, WP: Verify and Wikipedia:Avoiding insults. Abdul Latif (criminal) page
Hi! I have removed the line from Abdul Latif (criminal) page that says there is a movie releasing about him, Raees. In my first attempt to delete, I actually gave the edit explanation...but was told I did not. The reason for this edit is that it is pure speculation that the movie is being made on him. Sure--it's been posted about in Indian newspapers, but quite honestly, they are more like gossip pages than real sources. There is no contract or legal evidence that the movie Raees is based on Abdul Latif. In fact, if you ask the director, writer, or producers they will categorically deny that it is made on Abdul Latif. Therefore, it is wrong information to say there is a movie being made about Abdul Latif. At the very most you could say there is speculation that the new movie Raees is based on Abdul Latif...but to say it as a fact - that is blatantly wrong information. Thanks for your help! :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Musicwithoutlyrics (talk • contribs)
- @Musicwithoutlyrics: Hi. You gave edit summaries, but they made no sense. One was "There is no proof the film Raees is based on Abdul Latif's life; that is only hearsay", and the other was "It is not a fact that Raees is based on Abdul Latif's life...it is hearsay".
- But it's not only hearsay, and the sources aren't gossip pages, they're from The Asian Age and India Today, both national newspapers and WP:RS. If you think that the newspapers are reading something into it, then let's change the wording on the article, and make it clear that it's a quote from someone who's not the director. But please don't simply delete it. Thanks, Wikishovel (talk) 05:51, 8 December 2016 (UTC)

do you even know the school’s subject? There were some vandalisms done such as the ‘communist studies’ and ‘facist studies’, but the other parts of the document were all true. User:Fadesga and "other accounts"
Hi Wikishovel, thanks for taking care of my situation. This is the most strange and embarrassing thing that has happened to me during my long 8 years at Wikipedia.
First of all: if you look back at my Wiki-activity, you will probably see an efficient, reasonable, active editor with over 100,000 editions in English. So far, so good.
I have experienced, from time to time, some "edit wars", not many. But right now I am experiencing a really strange edit war with the article IAPTI. As follows I will further explain. It is very long. Please, hold, I need some extra information. Regards, --Fadesga (talk) 12:30, 16 December 2016 (UTC)
- I have always used my User:Fadesga. And my real name is Fabio Descalzi. You can even see my picture on the user page.
- But these last days some strange new users popped up: User:Fadasge (as you see, a very similar username) and User:Fabio_Descalzi (which is "somebody else trying to make believe that it is me"). This is really grave, and I have already told an administrator about this irregular situation. These "strange users" have made only a couple of edits each, and... all of them in the article IAPTI.
- I swear I don't have control of User:Fadasge or User:Fabio_Descalzi - if I try to log in, it is impossible, as I do not have my email address linked to them, so I cannot log in as such. Then, yes, I acknowledge, it was maybe an awkard decision (and, at the same time, a "message to the strangers"), I took the chance and made redirects on the user pages of User:Fadasge and User:Fabio_Descalzi. And I posted warnings on the talk pages User_talk:Fadasge or User_talk:Fabio_Descalzi.
- Whichever editions you see here or here, are clearly performed by "other" people, as I cannot log in with these users.
- Thanks for reading this, hope you understand. My last edit in the article IAPTI from User:Fadesga was this, yesterday evening.
- Best regards from a veteran user, --Fadesga (talk) 12:42, 16 December 2016 (UTC)
- I re-posted this explanation on a warning to all administrators, here. --Fadesga (talk) 13:10, 16 December 2016 (UTC)

- There are at least 5 statements that are unreferenced and the entire article was written by the subject in question who has since been blocked for multiple WP:SOCKs. --Zackmann08 (Talk to me/What I been doing) 19:31, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
SPI patrolling
Hi - I appreciate your help at SPI, but please be sure you place your comments in the appropriate place. If you aren't an SPI clerk, please don't comment in the area reserved for us. Like WP:AE and other WP:ARBCOM pages, we keep comments segregated instead of always inline. Thanks again for your help, and if you're interested in clerking, be sure to sign up by following the instructions at the clerk's noticeboard. :-) Katietalk 17:07, 1 January 2017 (UTC)
- @KrakatoaKatie: which SPI are you talking about? I'm involved in several, and wasn't aware that I'd commented in a clerks' section on one of them. If I have, I assure you it was certainly by mixing up the comment boundaries, and not by intention, and please accept my apology for the error. Thanks, Wikishovel (talk) 17:57, 1 January 2017 (UTC)
- Aha! I've found it, and moved it. I had indeed replied inline to a thread, without looking where I was. Thanks for letting me know. Wikishovel (talk) 18:02, 1 January 2017 (UTC)

Hey Wikishovel
Thanks for the feedback. I will try to add the sources as far as possible and in a timely manner, however life tends to interrupt these sessions at times. :) I was in the process of adding the sources to the site when I got the message and then i got a conflict message as someone else was editing the page, which was after being told that the material did not belong to the main page and I should put it on sub page.
On a kinder tone, you may note that there are several unsubstantiated sections which invites persons to research and amend it, if you have the time or resources to do so. I would appreciate being invited to do so, rather than being told not to do something... I appreciate that Wikipedia originated in another country, however in the spirit of relationship building, it would be wise to find a nicer way to ask someone to assist with something.. Jennifer N Bailey (talk) 12:22, 5 January 2017 (UTC)
- You'd been asked politely already at your user talk page, and you reverted without comment the last editor who merely left an edit summary. Relationship building is a two-way street. Wikishovel (talk) 12:36, 5 January 2017 (UTC)
Lingam
I just saw your edit to Lingam in which you changed "explains" to "wrote" in this edit, with an edit summary containing a link to WP:SAID. I had forgotten about that list of words that are discouraged in WP articles, and I certainly understand your edit and will not argue with you about it. I just wanted to point out that nowhere in that section do we read a prohibition against alternative verbs for "said". The second sentence reads: "Extra care is needed with more loaded terms." If we say that a professional anthropologist explains something, it doesn't mean what he or she has explained is any truer than if we say he or she has said it. They are both statements from the mind of a professional anthropologist. The second paragraph begins: "To write that someone asserted or claimed something can call their statement's credibility into question, by emphasizing any potential contradiction or implying a disregard for evidence." Note that it says "can call...into question", not "always calls...into question", and the next sentence advises: "Similarly, be judicious". In other words, these verbs are not prohibited. If a writer chooses the verb carefully, there should be little problem of conveying the wrong meaning. In selecting from the various verbs such as "explained", "argued", and "commented", we can give a slight indication of the attitude of the anthropologist when making the statement, which can be helpful to the reader. I think "explains" worked fine here. – Corinne (talk) 18:51, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
You initiated a deletion for Harvey J, however I've since added several notable references. I ask that you revisit the article and assist in getting it restored. Thanks Hennygang (talk) 04:01, 8 January 2017 (UTC)
- I don't think there's much I can add to what's been written already at your user talk page. Wikishovel (talk) 05:59, 8 January 2017 (UTC)

SEEMS THIS ARTICLE HAS TO BE RENAMED SS Djurma, as this ship never was named DZHURMA during own life. I may not to rename it as it is not my article. Read and confirm please. Also to see attached ways to ship's photos, where clear marked ship's name DJURMA and not DZHURMA. BRGDS Грищук ЮН (talk) 17:16, 10 January 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Jesus in a female guise
Hello Wikishovel. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Jesus in a female guise, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: WP:CSD#R3 excludes redirects created from a page move where the page was not recently created, consider WP:RfD. Thank you. Ale_Jrbtalk 08:38, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
You deleted part of text on 11 January 2017 due to on your opinion it was original research. When I wrote deleted by you chapter (can be in 2015 year), I also posted a photo of mentioned in the deleted text Protocol to explain that it is not original research. The photo was deleted due to official document, but the text was not deleted due to everybody was agree. Now nobody remember that photo and you deleted the text as original research. I already mentioned that the name of article SS Dzhurma must be changed to SS Djurma due to ship never had the name DZHURMA during own life and above mentioned Protocol confirm it also. How can I send the photo of a part of Soviet American Protocol regarding crew members and ships names transletion from Russian on English dated 1974? How to fix it to avoid mistakes in the names and it is also can halp in the search of any Soviet ship in press and Internet as per correct English name of the ship? Hello Thank's for the Cookie. But i have a question. How do i get a 'confirmed access'??? Jack Spy (talk) 14:02, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
- Anytime. :-) For info on access levels, see WP:AUTOCONFIRM. In a nutshell, just edit for a while, and you'll be autoconfirmed. In fact, I think you already have been. Wikishovel (talk) 14:06, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
@Wikishovel: well how do i know that??? Jack Spy (talk) 15:31, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
- There's a link in the "See also" section of WP:AUTOCONFIRM, "See what usergroup a user is in". That link takes you to Special:UserRights When I type in "Jack Spy", it replies "Implicit member of: Autoconfirmed users". There ya go. Wikishovel (talk) 16:00, 11 January 2017 (UTC)

Hi
I understand that we are building a community on Wikipedia and I may not follow the protocol or the way the "editors" agree to do things. So in the spirit of building community would it be possible for you to create a page on a topic, link it, rather than remove something so that an area that is current, has relevance in the history of financial institutions and relates to a whole set of law, would be retained, rather than deleted?
BTW I am not warring with all of the editors as I too, have made changes with information which has been posted, however I respected that I wanted persons to grow in their contributions and continue to post to Wikipedia and I added information to their contribution.
Can you let me know if you are willing to assist both the public and me with trying that approach or suggesting it to the editors? I await your response.
Thank you 161.0.154.215 (talk) 08:51, 16 January 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Islamovedenie (journal)
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Islamovedenie (journal), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hi! Can you help me edit Wildflower (TV series)? I want to make it a list of episodes because it will be airing on February 13. But someone redirected it to the article itself. (Because the show already had a list of episodes earlier). And I want to edit it but I don't know how. Can you help me? It keeps on redirecting me on the article itself.
