WikiProject Spaceflight activity
Hello there! As part of an effort to determine how many active editors are present in the spaceflight-related WikiProjects, changes have been made to the list of members of WikiProject Spaceflight. If you still consider yourself to be an active editor in this project, it would be appreciated if you would please edit the list so that your name is not struck out - thus a clearer idea of the number of active editors can be determined. Many thanks in advance!

WikiProject Spaceflight reboot
Hello there! As you may or may not be aware, a recent discussion on the future of the Space-related WikiProjects has concluded, leading to the abolition of WP:SPACE and leading to a major reorganisation of WP:SPACEFLIGHT. It would be much appreciated if you would like to participate in the various ongoing discussions at the reorganisation page and the WikiProject Spaceflight talk page. If you are a member of one of WP:SPACEFLIGHT's child projects but not WP:SPACEFLIGHT itself, it would also be very useful if you could please add your name to the member list here. Many thanks!

About the change to the project into a taskforce
When I started my collaboration many months ago, I also consider the fact that a wikiproject needs certain level of effor to sustain it, otherwise it could end dead. So instead of making a wikiproject I started a collaboration, wich such as the task force may or may not live long as long as something constructive came out of it, and not much residue is left after it is abandoned or finished. So I guess it is better how it is now. Let me know if there is anything extra I can help you with. - ☩Damërung ☩. -- 01:35, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- I agree; that is a good point...--Novus Orator 05:20, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

ANI notice

Speedy deletion nomination of Interpretive science
Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Interpretive science, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Interpretive science until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. The Resident Anthropologist (talk) 19:56, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
Topic Ban Discussion
Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently a Topic Ban discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding your editing in Pseudo-science and Creationism. Thank you. The Resident Anthropologist (talk) 21:14, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
WPT:J listed at Redirects for discussion
An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect WPT:J. Since you had some involvement with the WPT:J redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). Mhiji (talk) 22:23, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
Henty fix
When I put the "hey thanks for the edit" on the Henty discussion page, I hadn't yet bothered to see who the guy who offered "balancing quote" was -- and I gotta say after doing so, I'm grinning from ear to ear. I can't imagine a more perfect apologist for 19th century British institutionalized racism than someone who actually got kicked out of the BNP for protocol violations.
Again, great work. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.86.124.192 (talk) 01:49, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
Re: Racism
<original message> I find that your racist editing on the G.A. Henty article needs to change. There is absolutely no scientific evidence for separating the human species into separate "races". I improved that section with the qualifier by a racist commentator to offer the dissenting perspective, not to legitimize Henty's racism. I sincerely suggest that you look over the race article and honestly assess the prejudices or attitude you are editing this subject with. All the best.--Novus Orator 04:17, 27 December 2010 (UTC)</original message>
- Hey, I think we're in total agreement -- my praise for your updates wasn't sarcasm; I think it genuinely improved the article, both with regards to content and with regards to neutrality. I hope you didn't take my tongue-in-cheek statement that "it seemed like Henty felt sympathy towards those poor, sub-human critters" as my own beliefs. Thanks 72.86.124.192 (talk) 13:40, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
Topic ban
You are now indefinitely banned from all articles and discussions relation to the topics of Creationism or Pseudoscience broadly construed following the discussion here [1]. Dougweller (talk) 19:15, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
- Sounds good. I agree that I don't want to be perceived as an issue in the community, so this is the best way to keep me out of the contentious stuff.--Novus Orator 08:58, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion request
Hi, Terra Novus. I have declined the speedy deletion request you made for the page User:Gniniv, because you made it from your current account rather than from the account that the page belongs to. Without some evidence that you are the same editor, it would be irresponsible of me to let you delete another account's user page. If you still have access to the old account, you can make the request under that account and I would gladly respect it. Alternatively, if you can provide some other evidence (such as a past edit from that account affirming your new identity) that you are the same person, then I would accept the request from your current account. --RL0919 (talk) 05:09, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for telling me how to do it.--Novus Orator 05:29, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
