Speedy deletion nomination of Clikthrough
[edit]A tag has been placed on Clikthrough, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did to The Script (band), you will be blocked from editing. Please STOP adding spammy "information" to articles to promote an entity. Scjessey (talk) 04:38, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

I'm sorry but I don't understand why I'm being blocked, I'm new to wikipedia and am just trying to get through your confusing interface to add information to pages that I know topics on, thank you for your time.

You have been blocked for violating our Wikipedia:Spam policy and have shown no intention to contribute positively to the encyclopedia. -- Netsnipe ► 07:30, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

I have looked at your reasoning for blocking me from post's and still do not understand, Im not spamming I was just trying to add relevant information to your site and unfortunately this has been and extremely difficult progress because of your censorship, I would greatly appreciate it if you could unblock me because I believe this to be unjust, thank you for your time
Decline reason:
You have been repeating adding inappropriate information to advertise Clikthrough. That is what spamming, pure and simple. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. If you cannot respect that, someone can lock this page as well so we can all move on. Ricky81682 (talk) 09:12, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

I understand your perception now and is unfortunate, I was not aiming to spam and have no affiliation with Clikthrough, I'm am an interactive/technology enthusiast and noticed your page is out of date, there are several other companies that I would like to add as well, Clikthrough was just the only one that is actually doing new mainstream content, I hope to be unblocked as I would like to contribute in other areas of this site aswell and do not desire to be someone that "spams"Thank you for your time

Since your main purpose appears to be the promotion of this and other companies, not the writing of an encyclopedia, and since several days have passed with no answer to the question below, I'm going to decline this request. Feel free to ask again if you ever become interested in helping to write the encyclopedia. FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 17:52, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Your unblock request does not wholly satisfy. You were warned on several occasions not to add links to Clikthrough; before unblocking you we would like to know why you ignored these very specific warnings. If you were to be unblocked, would you undertake not to add this type of link, either to Clikthrough, which has been deleted, or to any other similar companies? --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 21:07, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- In addition, I want to make sure you understand that your article was deleted, in part, because you simply reposted material off a copyrighted web site. Will you agree not to do that any more? Mangojuicetalk 21:58, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
{{unblock|If that is part of your policy I will abide by it, though I do not understand as other companies with similar technology are listed on the interactive video page..may I ask why this technology is blocked. This is not promotion,spam etc.. it is fact based information about a technology that has been developed and is starting to take over the market an become more mainstream, these guys will be on major online tv series etc.. soon and I guarantee other people will update this, will they be spamming aswell? Thank you and appreciate the information on how wikipedia works}}
- We ask for reliable, third-party, published sources about an item before allowing its inclusion. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 00:13, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
- It's not the technology that's blocked, it's the way you were promoting it (and yes, it is promotion the way you did it). When people come to Wikipedia and post multiple links to the same website as external links, it tends to be "link spam", an inappropriate use of Wikipedia to add links to something in order to promote it. I'm beginning to get the sense you have some kind of conflict of interest when it comes to Clikthrough because of the way your edits were so biased towards promotion and the way you are continuing to push even while blocked. If you want to be unblocked, at this point, you will have to come right out and say whether you are affiliated with Clikthrough, and what other material you might be interested in contributing. And you didn't explain why you ignored the multiple warnings you got. Mangojuicetalk 03:42, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

ohh, the reason I kept re-posting is because I thought I was doing something wrong with the format, the layout to input data is quite confusing, was not my intention to ignore any warnings I may have gotten I simply thought it was user error that I did not understand, as for your question I'm not affiliated with this company but am a fan of interactive video and want to contribute on the topic and would be happy to include any third party resources to back up my entry, thanks everyone on taking the time to educate me on this it has been helpful. I hope to be able to move forward as a helpful contributor on this site.

- Ok I've unblocked you but I warn you that if you continue to linkspam for Clikthrough you will be blocked and will probably not be given another chance. And don't ignore warnings in the future. If you had read them, you would have seen that no one was saying anything about format. If you need help understanding something about Wikipedia, it's probably better to just ask the user you're dealing with by leaving a message on their user talk page.
