Please accept apology

Please accept my apology on behalf of some of the Wikipedia editors who have made snarky comments without reading all of the relevant statements that may have been posted over several disparate pages. Unlike you, most of the people who post 'vanity' pages of themselves/people closely related, fight tooth and nail to maintain those articles even when it is pointed out the articles do not meet Wikipedia's guidelines. There are editors who have made assumptions that are not valid, as you have clearly identified your desire to follow Wikipedia policies.

I hope that you will decide to continue to contribute to Wikipedia in other areas that are of interest to you.

I'm doing an English degree so I don't see the time as wasted. To be honest I was promoting my husbands interest but I tried to fulfill the criteria as objectively as I could. I realise I should have declared the interest first and of course although he is notable to me he is not eminent elsewhere :) I was only annoyed about this peppering thing because all I tried to do was fulfill the criteria - I thought that he does these things - like he gets published as a poet and has been in lots of films and I thought these were just 'mentions'. I wasn't trying to say he was a notable actor or poet. Mostly Craig is Scottish folk musician in Germany and his last three CD's got really good reviews in the main magazine here - Folker. maybe I'll do a German one,. I might also do one on McCraes Battalion for which he wrote a song. It was a Scottish bestseller and must fulfill the criteria. :)Silkekingofthedirigibles (talk) 18:59, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
