- Hey there Kudpung - I'm not seeing anything in my email. Onel5969 TT me 23:21, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
- Sorry. I meant to tell you, the article has been put back. With everything else that's going on and with the open letter from NPP to the WMF, it would probably be overkill. At least for a while. Have you signed the letter? It needs all the support it can get. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 00:44, 7 August 2022 (UTC)
- What letter? Where can I find it? Onel5969 TT me 00:55, 7 August 2022 (UTC)

Sicilian Renaissance
Back in February, you moved "Sicilian Renaissance" to Draft:Sicilian Renaissance, and rightly so. The draft is still underreferenced and shaky, but I think it has since improved to the point where it would survive an AfD and that it's beneficial even as is. I'm inclined to okay it -- very much hoping that qualified editors will quickly notice it and firm it up. What do you think? (No offence if you warmly disagree.) -- Hoary (talk) 11:58, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Hoary - It's definitely notable, just still poorly cited. I think it should still remain in draft for development, but the article's creator seems to have abandoned it, so not sure leaving it in draft will do it any good. I'm a huge believer in WP:VERIFY, and if it was moved to mainspace, I agree (and would !vote keep myself) that it would survive, but vast swaths of the article would be removed. For example the sections "Humanism in literature", "Architecture", and "Painting" are wholly unsourced. In cases like this I draftified it so that sourcing could be provided. I wouldn't object to it being moved to mainspace, but I would remove the uncited material. And just to explain my stance on VERIFY, I hate seeing WP mocked, I put a lot of work in on the project, and it is galling when people make fun of it. Unsourced/poorly sourced material only makes that mocking like shooting fish in the barrel. Anyway, that's my .02. And, btw, thanks for all you do on the project, as well as this incredibly civil question. Onel5969 TT me 12:22, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for your kind words, but my civility (when evident) is merely an intermittent disguise, while "The creature inside [...] is soft and repulsive in appearance, and vicious in temperament". I do agree that lack of provision of sources encourages lack of provision of sources, and in recent years I've tried to be conscientious in providing them. So I felt queasy about suggesting the promotion of this draft, promising though it was. Well, Greenman has gone and promoted it. I'm surprised that he hasn't also made any changes to it; shortly, I'll do a little of this myself. -- Hoary (talk) 22:20, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
- My evaluation was that it would survive an AfD as well, so due to WP:AFCPURPOSE I approved it. There's such a backlog that I don't tend to make many changes to reviewed articles myself, just the thumbs up or down. Thanks for your improvements! Greenman (talk) 23:09, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks Hoary for you input (and the chuckle . And as I said above, Greenman - my concern was never with its ability to pass AfD, as it is definitely notable, but with the paucity of sources. I also thank you Hoary, for adding the tags, but as I said in the edit summary I just left on the pages, those sections have been left uncited by months by the article's creator, who would be the best individual to provide sources, since they created the draft, so imho adding tags at this point is ... well, pointless. Therefore, I've removed the uncited material. If other editors want to come along and expand the article, with sources, cool. If not, what is there is now sourced. And Greenman, thanks for pitching in over at AfC. I did it for years, and its a thankless task. So thanks.Onel5969 TT me 23:17, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
- On the thanklessness of AfC: more or less recently, I've okayed Henry F. Pulitzer, Illuminated River, Ryūichi Kaneko, David Stephenson (photographer), Susan Fletcher Crawford, Carole Robb, W. W. Morris, Sutezo Otono, Joy Labinjo, Yves Marchand and Romain Meffre, T. R. Otsuka, Alan Fletcher (artist). Most appeared to me via Wikipedia:AfC sorting/Culture/Visual arts, which is brimming with promotion. Some of what I okayed seem promotional too, but not blatantly so. I put time into each; for some, I don't know if it was really worth the effort. But on balance, I'm slightly satisfied. ¶ As for the renascence of the Renaissance article, see my appeal here; I wonder if anything will come of this. -- Hoary (talk) 03:55, 7 August 2022 (UTC)

Asking for an opinion
Hi, can I ask your opinion for this draft, is it can pass minimum GNG or need to have more sources? also if you want to rate it from 0-10 what will you give? ZEP55 (talk) 19:05, 24 August 2022 (UTC)

Wyn Geleynse
Dear Editor: I know you retired but I don`t know who to ask for help. I wrote an article on this artist Wyn Geleynse, winner of an important Canadian prize in 2018. I noticed that I had misspelled the name of the artist in his title so moved it to the correct spelling. But I wasn`t sure I had done this right and moved it again. Now I see Wikipedia has the wrong spelling for the name. Can you fix this please? Thank you. Also please look over articles I wrote since you retired (only 4 or so) and if okay, mark them edited. There are only a few interested in Canadian art. Thank you. I`ll try not to bother you again. Joan arden murray (talk) 18:23, 25 August 2022 (UTC)

Mentiras Sinceras
The record i agree may not be his best. Now, Alex himself he is, along with Alej. Sanz and Joaquin Sabina, the most known Spanish singer of all time. That's worldwide. What should we do? He only has like 6 records... I'd suggest they should have an article each. - Joaquin89uy (talk) 11:36, 26 August 2022 (UTC)

Why can i not put a popular play store game on Wikipedia?
Google Play should be verifiable enough probably, also why is it so hard to get an article on Wikipedia.
IF this is an encyclopedia, shouldn't there be as much info as possible? smh DragonsBreathUP2 (talk) 21:28, 30 August 2022 (UTC)
- No... WP has a policy that notability, which your article did not meet. However, it might be notable, which is why I moved it to draftspace. Read WP:GNG to see what needs to be done to show it is notable. In addition, your comments on your talkpage indicate you have a COI/UPE issue, so also read WP:COI and WP:UPE and take the steps mentioned there. What it means is your article needs to go through AfC to be published. Hope this helps. Onel5969 TT me 21:32, 30 August 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion
Hello Onel
My article Strawberrynet (cosmestics) - Wikipedia was nominated for speedy deletion and deleted for unambiguous advertising, can I improve it further then resubmit or should I stay away from creating it? Your advise will be really helpful.
Thank you EverJoking (talk) 14:33, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hi EverJoking - I don't know about the notability of the entity, so whether or not there should be an article is a different question. But you might want to check out the following pages in WP which were created to help new contributors:
