Did you save the text for the original page so I can see it? I'm surprised anybody erased his page. I'm not sure what sort of page was here before, but I would expect to see a wikipedia page for any gubernatorial candidate in Wisconsin. You may have me confused with someone else. But if you tell me the page you're talking about I might be able to assist. Moondyne (talk) 00:30, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
I believe he is referring to Arthur Kohl-Riggs. However, that page was deleted almost five years ago. --JustinADanielson (talk) 22:10, 7 May 2012 (UTC)
Thanks. The page contained a single sentence. "Arthur Kohl-Riggs was not only an accomplished artist but also the only student to serve two consecutive terms as president of the West Student Council.". Moondyne (talk) 00:17, 8 May 2012 (UTC)

Hi. I ran into an 'edit conflict' with your work, which I found mostly coincided with my own. So I minimalised my contribution, hoping I haven't inadvertently done the wrong thing. I felt the PDF ref (No. 3 as of today) is an important backgrounder to all the articles on Oz airports, so left the corporate info in as a hook for it. My main purpose (in response to SatuSuro:)) was to heave out all the soap and demote overbolded headings to the MoS standard--and I see that you've already made a good job of that. Cheers, Bjenks (talk) 17:42, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

Sorry about that. Its looking a lot better. Moondyne (talk) 00:12, 17 May 2012 (UTC)

Not sure. Is the Bills-Agostini report the same one talked about in the section above? Some refs there are now 404's. Do you need a new ==Level2== section? And needs at least a mention of mention of Rolf Gubner's report to be NPOV. I don't know enough about this (disinterested TBH) to get involved. Sorry, v/busy right now. Gilligan

Some considerable time ago, you left a note on the Arthur Gilligan talk page about an image at the State Library of WA: this one. PD photos are a nightmare and my (current) understanding is that a PD-Aus image is only PD-US if it can be established that it was published before 1946. As far as I can tell, there is no information about whether or not that image was ever published, or where. I don't suppose that you have any information? I've currently stuck in a fairly sub-standard image of him, and only just noticed the note on the talk page. Thanks. Sarastro1 (talk) 23:10, 5 June 2012 (UTC)

Publish shmublish. Its part of a 1924 collection taken by a professional photographer - I'm certain you'd be ok to tag it PD. Moondyne (talk) 23:21, 5 June 2012 (UTC)

Redemptorist thingy

Hi :) When I was in Morley the other day for another purpose I ended up getting some shots of Redemptoris Mater Seminary on Camboon Rd/Gill Street. Shots could be better and I hope to go back there one day when I've got time, but it sounded interesting - students from all over the world chosen pretty much by lot, and so on. Worth an article? (Asking as I noticed you just wrote the one on the monastery) Orderinchaos 11:44, 27 June 2012 (UTC)

That does sound interesting, but its not something I know anything about. I don't know if you've ever seen the monastery close up, but its a beautiful gothic building with heaps of history and a great aspect. It must have been an very striking cathedral when built as there wouldn't have been the buildings around it that there are nowadays. My wife and her family have a connection to it. Its been in my sandbox for months and had been half forgotten - I'll come back later to expand it. Moondyne (talk) 12:50, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
FYI OIC and M - the Morley one is in a manner of speaking too recent to easily write up - for WP:RS not easy to find online as it is 1994 + (ie not troveable...), as for the North Perth one, by coincidence my wife and I have quite a long connection with the polace as well... Mt Elephant

Moondyne,

There is no problem with conflict of interest over the Quarry problem, that has all been resolved by VCAT and no Quarry will be allowed and the situation is closed.

After that decision I then changed the "Mount Elephant" website, it is now a general interest and information site as is my sister site "Derrinallum", as you say maybe I should change my user name to reflect that.

I still think that the external links improve the Wiki experience, but as you will not allow them there's not much I can do about it.

Can this also be seen by mattinbng and others as I think it concerns all.

Thanks for the Edith Dircksey Cowan Memorial article

Hello Moondyne! I just finished an article about the Edith Dircksey Cowan Memorial, at Kings Park, for Revista EnPunto. Ours is a magazine devoted to high end watches and one of our main features is a article about clock towers. Since the Summer edition will be devoted to lady's watches, the life of Ms. Dircksey Cowan and the Memorial erected for her were perfect for publishing. However, I can't find hi-res photos of it. Could you help me with a hi-res image, or two? We need them at 300dpi resolution at least 4*6 inches in size. You could send it to leon.aguilera AT gmail.com or via an FTP server. I will be greatly thankful. Revista EnPunto is freely distributed, you can visit us at http://www.enpunto.com (published in Spanish).— Preceding unsigned comment added by Klavaza (talkcontribs)

G'day Klavaza. I trust that if you use parts of the article in your magazine you'll give attribution to Wikipedia. It was written by User:Hesperian. I see from the talk page, and the list of contributors, that you've been pretty heavily involved in this page! I've had a bit of an attack on the page, with the target of getting it back to Featured List status, and I was hoping you could have a look over it for me. I've opened a peer review, in which I've stated some of the main (and more controversial changes), Wikipedia:Peer review/List of Ashes series/archive1. Public Art Works

Am heading down to Busselton for a week of competitive sailing, will try and stop along the way and take some photos of the public artworks in Mandurah and Bunbury. Keen to get a pic of 'The Water Dance' on Forrest Highway and 'The Navigators' in Bunbury. Dan arndt (talk) 04:47, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Lucky you. I'm doing Kojonup and Katanning tomorrow but reckon Busso will be heaps more exciting ;( If you do have extra time at Mandurah, there's a lot more[1] that can be added to the list but I was holding off until I got photos. –Moondyne 05:33, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
Might have to leave earlier than I previously anticipated - good thing I know where a lot of these ones are, so locating them shouldn't be a problem - though will only do the more substantial public art works rather than the smaller mosiacs etc. What's your thoughts on the War Memorial? Is it public art or not? Dan arndt (talk) 09:12, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
Whatever you reckon. The more the merrier. –Moondyne 07:07, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

I unbolded but not sure what you mean re refs. Change it around if you wish. Moondyne (talk) 13:46, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
Nah I thought the refs should be in the heading sections - not in the lead para so to speak - as it looks very eccentric at the mo - but hey its probably how it pans out over additions - as to whether the heading sections remain unreferenced and the lead para does get the refs - it looks topsy turvy - maybe some extra stuff will balance it out - but hey its too hot to think about - why east coast rain and cool and we still hot? bah SatuSuro 13:59, 25 March 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:A Short History Of The World.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Prime lamb

In the US the term "prime lamb" is not used to mean "lamb bred for meat", but rather top-quality lamb according to the inpectional services of the USDA.[3] Lamb graded 'prime' may well come from stock bred specifically for meat, but that is not the definition. Hope this clarifies things. --Macrakis (talk) 03:13, 2 May 2011 (UTC)

You're making an unnecessary and false distinction. viz: The cite you give is from the Food Safety and Inspection Service. "Prime lamb" refers specifically to lambs used for meat. Moondyne (talk) 03:25, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Not sure I understand your point. There are five grades used by the FSIS for lambs used for meat; only the top one is 'prime'. The definitions of the top two:
  • Prime grade is very high in tenderness, juiciness, and flavor. Its marbling enhances both flavor and juiciness.
  • Choice grade has slightly less marbling than prime, but still is of very high quality.
On the other hand, I haven't seen any evidence that the term 'prime lamb' is used in the sense "lamb bred for meat" in the US, but that appears to be the usage in the UK, Aus, and NZ. Any additional info you have on the terminology would be great. Thanks, --Macrakis (talk) 13:36, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
OK, I think we're in agreement now and I initially got my wires crossed as to what your point was. My bad. In AU, the 'prime lamb industry' relates to the farming practice of raising lambs for slaughter and consumption as meat.[4]. In the US, it describes the meat.[5]. That is a slight oversimplification as the term is also used here occasionally for the meat, but not widely. Moondyne (talk) 14:04, 2 May 2011 (UTC)

Substantive edit to the Cricket section on Wikipedia:Notability (sports)

I have undone your edit to Wikipedia:Notability (sports) as it appears to be substantive and without obvious discussion on the talk page to obtain consensus. I am making no judgement as to the actual edit, just that the notice at the top of the page is very clear about the need to obtain a consensus prior to any substantive change. Mtking (talk) 03:23, 2 May 2011 (UTC)

I also make no judgement, but the change was to bring the page in line with the parrallel guideline at WP:CRIN which was developed aftre lengthy discussion and consensus from participants at the Cricket project and has been stable and inplace for some time. and I ask you therefore to revert your revert. I apologise for not being clearer in my edit summary that that was what I was doing. Moondyne (talk) 03:34, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
edit conflict : May I suggest that you post to the talk page exactly that, leave it for a few days and then if there there are no major objections you can then make the change again, there is after all no rush is there? Mtking (talk) 03:37, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Happy to do so. One other point FYI: A previous version [6] was a copy paste from WP:CRIN as it was at that time. The latter was subsequently updated but WP:NSPORTS wasn't. Moondyne (talk) 03:43, 2 May 2011 (UTC)

John MacLennan Buchanan listed at Redirects for discussion

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect John MacLennan Buchanan. This proposal will potentially affect the disambiguation of all John Buchanan articles, so you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). Hi Moondyne. Thanks very much for your kind words back in January and my apologies for not replying sooner. I've had a lot of problems to deal with this year but I'm looking to get involved again. Probably not so much as formerly but AA asked me for help with the to-do list and I'm going to see what I can do there. Well done on your recent action in dealing with the troll but sorry it seems to have brought you to his attention. All the best. ----Jack | talk page 11:34, 18 September 2011 (UTC)

Interview with Wikimedia Foundation

Hello Moondyne, I hope you're well. My name is Aaron and I'm one of the Storytellers working on the 2011 fundraiser here at the Wikimedia Foundation. For this year's campaign we're seeking out and interviewing active Wikipedians like yourself, in order to produce a broader and more representative range of "personal appeals" to run come November. If you'd like to participate in this project, please email me at amuszalski@wikimedia.org. Interviews are typically conducted by phone or Skype and take between 30-90 minutes. (Note: This invitation is open to any interested Wikipedian — If you're reading this, and would like to be interviewed as well, please contact me.) Thanks! Page protection

Hi Moondyne. As I've already replied to Drmies, that's a good idea. This has been going on intermittently for nearly four years now and I suppose I should think about taking whatever steps are necessary. I don't care about Daft's opinion of me or my work as he is entitled to it. The problems are that he will not accept other people disagreeing with his view and he attacks other WP members to try and get at me through them. I don't suppose we can do any more than revert his posts and protect certain pages. Thanks again. ----Jack | talk page 08:25, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Thanks very much for the padlock, Moondyne. I hope you haven't locked me in! Do I get a key? ----Jack | talk page 11:26, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

State Register of Heritage Places

Can you at least leave the headers (ie. LGA area) on the heritage list - all for taking away the duplicated places but need to leave the headers so that the blanks can be filled in at a later date. Dan arndt (talk) 04:08, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

Fair enough. Will fix shortly. Moondyne (talk) 04:09, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

Hi y'all. In relation to the list which I am compiling at User:Russavia/Heritage -- can I please ask that editors do not edit this list whilst it is in my userspace -- I am compiling it for the eventual move into mainspace, but I am also using it for a project that I am working on, and I need it to be accurate -- Someone has added Ascot Racecourse and Perth Airport -- these are not on the State Register of Heritage Places, but rather they are found on the heritage.wa.gov.au website by an all-encompassing search. The same thing with some of the added Nedlands listings. Editors have also removed a heap of table lines which I am using to make my job in compiling the list easier. Another thing, is that this list might take me 6 months to complete; and when I eventually move it into mainspace, the attribution will be a bitch of a thing to do. I don't mind editors raising fixes and the like on the talk page at User talk:Russavia/Heritage, but please leave fixing the work in progress to myself -- this is mainly said for reasons of the attribution, but also because it needs to be accurate. I am glad that some are already finding the list useful, but please contribute to it for the time being on the talk page if you can. Thanks, Y u no be Russavia ლ(ಠ益ಠლ) 04:46, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for your understanding. If any you have any suggestions for the list itself, let me know on the talk page, and we can make those changes if the ideas are good :) Y u no be Russavia ლ(ಠ益ಠლ) 04:55, 2 February 2012 (UTC)
Also, when you guys are creating articles, can you please remove Category:Heritage places of Western Australia if the only register the place is on is the State Register of Heritage Places, in which case please categorise it into Category:State Register of Heritage Places. Also, please be careful to only include those on my list in this category. The other lists as well that I am working on. Also, any photos which are found on Commons, please peruse the categorisation scheme at Commons:Category:State Register of Heritage Places, and create categories for heritage places, even if there is only one photo. Also, i have noticed it might be adviseable to create categories on Commons where subcats and files are sorted by LGA. Y u no be Russavia ლ(ಠ益ಠლ) 05:33, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

I'm a good faith editor who's donated money to Wikipedia and I get blocked for this huh? Wikipedia will go if editors such as yourself don't welcome new users and threaten to "block them" if they don't agree with you. Why can't you be peaceful and not threaten to block me? Perhaps suggest some balance between your opinion and mine which we can then put into the article? Wikipedia has too many users who drive away new users such as myself. Please Don't be one of them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 180.216.12.253 (talk) 13:48, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

Its good that you're admitting yours is an opinion. Now read WP:NPOV. Moondyne (talk) 16:40, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

I understand what you're saying but what I added back to the article was there for 3 years until I removed it. If it is disallowed, then how was it present for three years? (In fact, I was the one who removed it.) By removing it, I brought attention to it and now people don't want it there. My feeling is that there is a general hatred of Phillip Hughes in the public so people don't want it in the article. But people still believe he is the real deal. Would it be correct to write that Hughes has one of the best domestic batting records in first class cricket among all batsmen under the age of 30 with at least 50 first class matches? Because that is true and not an opinion. I appreciate any feedback. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 180.216.12.253 (talk) 06:27, 18 February 2012 (UTC)

Articles are constantly being improved, rewritten and corrections fixed, and interpretations of policies change too. The statement was inserted here and that editor hasn't edited since 2008. In my opinion, and quite a few others, the phrase was inappropriate for an encyclopaedia and its removal was nothing to do with a like or dislike of the subject. Your proposal above would be considered a synthesis unless it was widely reported in those specific terms, by reliable sources. If you can find some, then make a proposal on the article talk page. Moondyne (talk) 07:57, 18 February 2012 (UTC)

I understand what you're saying but I've posted on the talk pages before and waited but no one every replies/reads my posts. However, once I edit the article, people start reverting. If enough people are willing to discuss, then I am happy to go to the talk page. I'll try on the talk page and see but what if no-one responsds? Wikipedia cannot progress if we have to wait for everyone to agree. Isn't it WP:BOLD that we have to sometimes make the decision by ourself to add something to the article?

Also, Michael Clarke has said numerous times that Phil Hughes has one of the best batting records in the country for a young player at first class level. So could I use that as a reliable source? If not, what would be a reliable source. I'm trying to learn here but I felt bad when you threatened to block me. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 180.216.12.253 (talk) 09:08, 19 February 2012 (UTC)

Firstly, if you intend to edit regularly I would strongly recommend that you create a user account. Unfairly perhaps, most article patrollers will give a bit more more leeway, and engage more seriously with a registered user rather than an an anonymous IP. See WP:ACCOUNT. It enhances your online reputation.
Find a couple of newspaper reports which quote Clarke in those specific terms and leave a note with a proposed wording and citation details at Talk:Phillip Hughes. Many newspapers have online versions. Good luck. Moondyne (talk) 09:51, 19 February 2012 (UTC)

Dear Moondyne, thanks for your encouraging words. I've done as you said at Talk:Phillip Hughes. Could you please have a look if you're interested? Thanks, --180.216.12.253 (talk) 07:21, 20 February 2012 (UTC)

Blocked User:Claritas has expressed concern here that your addition of Category:Blind people from America is incorrect. A reading of the article shows his advocacy for the blind and a misconception that he was blind, so I see where AWB may have suggested its inclusion, but would you consider changing it to Category:American people with disabilities? Dru of Id (talk) 00:45, 24 February 2012 (UTC)

Thanks Dru. I only sharpened the existing Category:Blind people to Category:Blind people from America - the former was aleady there. I re-read the article myself and agree - I've done as you suggested. Moondyne (talk) 02:23, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
No worries; when blocked users are making constructive suggestions, it's worth looking into. Dru of Id (talk) 03:38, 24 February 2012 (UTC).

The article George Strachan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unsourced, with non-encyclopedic statements referring to brilliant and excellent techniques.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. dci | TALK 06:24, 10 March 2012 (UTC)

G'day Moondyne, I was wondering if you could please undelete Jonathan Giles (Australian rules footballer). He was deleted as part of the multi-AFD Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Guy O'Keefe because he was delisted without playing an AFL game. for moving the images at List of professional cyclists who died during a race. I'm a long-time editor on that article, converted it from a bare List to Tables and then couldn't quite make up my mind about what to do with the images. I liked what you did so much that I then moved the images so they were next to the column that lists the cyclists' names. Cheers, Shearonink (talk) 17:01, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

Looks good. Moondyne (talk) 23:39, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

Hi, a argentine magazine Caras (#1596 7/8/12 p. 175) said: Turn Up The Radio comienza con una versión alterada de 'Music Inferno'. Translation: "'Turn Up The Radio' begins with a altered version of 'Music Inferno'". While Madonna appears with his guitar and says a few words (just before that she sangs), you can hear "altered" tones of Music Inferno. But, the user reverses my edition. You can help me? Bye.Waka Waka (talk) 02:43, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

I have no idea who is correct. Does Caras have an online version? If true other magazines/sources would say the same thing, so maybe search for something you can actually reference in the article. If you add something to Wikipedia you must be able to verify it. Moondyne (talk) 03:03, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
Only can see the title here, but i don´t know very well how add references in this wiki. Is similar from wiki.es?Waka Waka (talk) 01:14, 22 August 2012 (UTC)

Magellan Metals

Hi Moondyne, I'm not sure what to think but User:Tara Mulholland has, in the past two years, only ever edited the Magellan Metals article. Recent additions like "world-class method of transporting" make me think this user is connected to the company. What do you think? Calistemon (talk) 03:20, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

A person of that name works for Clarity Communications which is a PR consultancy for Magellan. Not saying its the same or that there's anything wrong with that but its a red flag. I'll have a look later. Moondyne (talk) 03:33, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
I had a quick look for her, too, but came up only with some meeting minutes from Cockburn Cement. You are obviously the much better private eye then me! Calistemon (talk) 03:43, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:Sandsofwindee.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Sandsofwindee.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Dear Moondyne,

I noticed you removed an addition I made to the page Phillip Hughes with the reason that what I added was not contained in the source. However, I think that you might have made a mistake. The source states:

"There were signs there that he is moving to the next level. We'd like to see that consolidated. We're counting on him coming through." [John Inverarity]

I added to the article:

"The national selection panel of cricket Australia is counting on Phillip Hughes to come through and they believe that he is moving to the next level in his cricket career."

Sure, there is a rewording but the meaning of the two sentences are the same. Could you please explain your objections? If it helps, then I'm happy to change it to the source exactly as it states but I'm not familiar with Wikipedia rules; I assume you know them better than I.

Best,

Not the same. Cherry picking with over-emphasis on a positive quote. A direct quote with a citation would be more appropriate here than a close paraphrase. And this should be in the career section - it made no sense in the lead as the statement didn't flow from anything previously said and seemed out of contetx. Could also mention variable form, slightly controversial 2011 panel selection over Katich and being dropped in 2012. Moondyne (talk) 02:55, 23 October 2012 (UTC)

ta

how could i ever forget - poseidon... what a great start - also just remembered Nickel min ing in western australia - In popular culture :) - Nickel Queen - gawks what a can of worms has been started SatuSuro 04:34, 26 October 2012 (UTC)

But of course! Moondyne (talk) 05:25, 26 October 2012 (UTC)
thanks for that - looks so much better already... SatuSuro 10:44, 26 October 2012 (UTC)
hope the eg links at care and maintenance are ok - cheers SatuSuro 12:36, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
All good; nice refs. Moondyne (talk) 13:27, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
inneresting- the newspaper refs and the usage of the term is at least 1920's and 1940s were easy to see on trove... also the different reasons ... I was suprised to see how many wa mines have been put on it at various times - almost a dynamic list worth, when you think of the nickel and gold ones... on and off like... well i cannot think of any good metaphors, but.... EP railway depot

Is the Claisebrook railway depot on the same site as East Perth Loco Depot (former is completely unreferenced by the way)? Moondyne (talk) 01:18, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

separate and different - claisebrook is current where it is, east perth loco is/was under east perth terminal is now SatuSuro 01:54, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
Ah. Thanks. Moondyne (talk) 01:57, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
which makes me think that old wagr westrail track diagrams might be uploaded to commons sometime as they help understand the complex issues re train control perth - east perth and the main line to mount lawley, the bridge and the armadale line, the power station siding, and the loco shed when it was in use, and the various sidings including the link into the tramway system when it existed... SatuSuro 02:41, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
grrrr - lead para in claisebrook article is wrong - have removed - geographically and temporally challenged edit that one... SatuSuro 02:50, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

issue with skating

Hello, you keep changing vert skating sections and modifying and I don't mind but vert skating has nothing to do with street or park skating which is aggressive skating. XK8ER (talk) 15:08, 3 November 2012 (UTC)

Category:Aggressive skating is simply the parent category. If you think the parent should be Category:Inline skating then thats fine with me. But it should never be in itself. Moondyne (talk)
perfect, switched to inline skating instead.. one more thing.. shouldn't it be "Vert_Skating" page, instead of "Vert_skating"? XK8ER (talk) 15:25, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
Yes. The category should be moved Category:Vert SkatingCategory:Vert skating. You'll need to change the articles. Cheers. Moondyne (talk) 15:31, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
Better still, Category:Vert skaters. Moondyne (talk) 15:38, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
yes I did see you moved the page into "Vert skating" but is that the correct format to just capitalize the first letter of the page? XK8ER (talk) 15:41, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
Yes it is. Moondyne (talk) 15:46, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
Okay no problem, but how about "Michael Jackson" or "United States" etc..? XK8ER (talk) 15:50, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
They're common names. Look at the other forms in Category:Inline skating for consistency. Moondyne (talk) 15:53, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
one last thing, I created the category page for (vert skaters) as you recommended, now I have to go in the 46 pages of vert skaters and change category page from (vert skating) into (vert skaters) manually? XK8ER (talk) 15:59, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
yep. :) When thats done, I'll delete the old and empty category for you. Moondyne (talk) 16:00, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
okay, its all changed now and the page its empty XK8ER (talk) 16:36, 3 November 2012 (UTC)

Bathers Beach

saw your recent edit at whaling so have started...Bathers Beach - reckon it deserves an art... SatuSuro 13:39, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

Good idea. Am currently trying to get my head around what was the original line of the foreshore just south of there: "Esplanade Reserve was reclaimed from the sea c. 1900. The foreshore in this area of Fremantle originally followed the line of Marine Terrace." I never knew that. It seems the start of the ocean jetty was on a distinct promontory (see map on page 45 - 1838 shoreline. 22 is the ocean jetty). I need a map. Cheers Moondyne (talk) 14:01, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
dont we all and all - that cool ref pdf doesnt it have a good map that might help? - ok the 1838 shore line - amazing they always fill things in around there...

I'd believe the Marine Terrac shore theory... btw I am conflating usage of bather's bay and bathers beach - hope that aint gonna add to any confusions... SatuSuro 14:11, 8 November 2012 (UTC) Another btw - wasnt the waca used as a venue a few times - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Music_venues_in_Perth  ??? SatuSuro 15:29, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

btw - started Burswood canal - cheers SatuSuro 15:40, 10 November 2012 (UTC)

advice

http://www.perthconcerthall.com.au/default.aspx?MenuID=63 (copyright on the lower left hand side) - this was more or less word for word the whole the article before I removed the chronology - if I remove all the word for word - there is hardly an article left - what would you do  ? (ok there is a very small bit that is attributed, but, word for word for most of the page...) SatuSuro 13:13, 11 November 2012 (UTC)

may have been someone from/associated with the concert hall who did that, is there an earlier edit that you can revert back to. Gnangarra 13:22, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
weird - somebody at ogden (they are claiming copyright on their web page mind you) edited the article unchecked in 2008 and we havemerrily ignored the word for word that co-exists on the website, and what is in the article - since then... see http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Perth_Concert_Hall%2C_Western_Australia&diff=198804224&oldid=196648015 - got me confused as to wherer we go with this SatuSuro 13:26, 11 November 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the image. Much appreciated. Cheers. Five Years 15:39, 11 December 2012 (UTC)

No worries mate. I would like to have taken some pics of the engine - all the polished brass etc, but it was locked up. Good to see you around a bit lately, and all the best to you and your family over the festive season. Moondyne (talk) 00:42, 12 December 2012 (UTC)
