Capitals

[edit]

I notice that in your recent edits you have put an initial capital letter on almost every word. That is not how it works in English in general, nor in Wikipedia. Please read WP:Manual of Style/Capital letters. --David Biddulph (talk) 07:00, 4 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Konstal105NRocks requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Tokyu 300 series moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Tokyu 300 series, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Control copyright icon Hello Kacper Frankowski, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your additions to Draft:Tokyu 300 series have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 20:03, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Nyamo Kurosawa. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Meitetsu 9500 series, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Sources in new articles

[edit]

Hey, I've seen you created a new article, KiHa 01 Series, which does not cite any sources. Please keep in mind that the content in wikipedia articles should be referenced to reliable sources, to make sure everything is verifiable and factually correct.

New articles are usually expected to pass the so-called "general notability guideline", which means that the topic is presumed to be notable enough for its own article, if it has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. Please cite the sources where you get your informations from when you create a new article.

Some pages you might find helpful:

Another thing: One of the articles you started, Draft:Moderus Gamma, is currently in the draft-namespace because it had not enough sources. I've added some sources, so the article might pass the general notability guideline. The sources still need to be placed at the right positions in the article text; the sources are all in English except one which is in German, but also has an English version on its page. You might want to fix the article with the included sources so it is ready to be moved into the article-namespace.

Sources

[edit]

Please cite your sources. I just undid one edit of yours to Keio 3000 series, as you added information, but it wasn't accompanied by any source. Verifiability is of central importance; people should be able to check where information is coming from, so please add references for the infromation you add. If no reliable, published sources exist to verify the information, then please don't put it in articles (Wikipedia:No original research). If you need help with referencing in general, you might want to have a look at this page, a guide on citing sources (Referencing for beginners). Moderus Gamma draft

[edit]

Hey, i just added footnotes to the draft you started, Draft:Moderus Gamma, and also edited the text accordingly to the sources. I'd appreciate it if you could take a look at the article and see if there is anything missing or something else that still needs work. I plan to resubmit the draft to AFC review in about a week.
