Your edit to Evolution

[edit]

Hi. I've reverted the edit you just made to Evolution - please don't make silly edits to real pages. If you want to test, use the sandbox. Thanks. Robin Johnson (talk) 13:35, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see the silly edit that User:Robin Johnson saw. I believe you fixed a grammatical error. I have restored your changes. Joelito (talk) 13:42, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I believe so too - thanks for that latest update too, which should convince the reverters to leave it alone. David 14:36, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bearded Woman

[edit]

Nice work on the Jennifer Miller photo. I'm hoping to get a better one with my DLSR this summer. --David Shankbone 17:47, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mr Sin

[edit]

Thanks for your recent contribution to List_of_Doctor_Who_henchmen#Mr_Sin ([1], [2]). While I appreciate your intent was to improve the article, I'm afraid your edits were reverted — when writing character histories, plot summaries and the like, we use the continuous present tense, as per Wikipedia's guidelines for writing about fiction. As such, if you find such an article written in the past tense, the appropriate thing to do is to convert it to the present tense. Cheers. --Mark H Wilkinson (t, c) 10:35, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sunshine

[edit]

Thanks for your occasional collaboration at Sunshine (2007 film)! I'm sad to say that even though I wrote these big ol' Cast Production sections, I have yet to see the film. I've kept my eyes off the Plot section for the most part, and I want to write a fuller Critical reaction section (something like Road to Perdition#Reception) when I finally see the film. I'd like to see about compressing the Plot section a little more (at least creating fuller paragraphs) and explaining the lead section to reflect the whole article. I think that with these changes, it should be nominated as a Good Article. What do you think? (Also, another question -- why do you not leave a linked signature?) —Erik (talkcontrib) - 19:29, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Charybdis 1997.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Charybdis 1997.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. NowCommons: File:Pairproduction.png

[edit]

File:Pairproduction.png is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Pairproduction.png. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:Pairproduction.png]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 17:59, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am planning to replace your figure Pairproduction.png in the Electron article. The reasons for this are given in the Talk page for the Electron article. Chriskb19 (talk) 18:17, 4 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I noticed your edit to that article and thought I'd say thanks. I don't really have anything to do with the article, it's one of the many that I've been planning to sort out for ages. Anyway, if you're interested, there's a collaborative effort going on at The Bill to get it to GA status. I'm also contemplating setting up a wikiproject to deal with with British crime/ police dramas if you're interested in those sorts of articles. Feel free to drop by my talk page and say hi. Dymaxion/Fuller projection

[edit]

Hi David.

I've noticed you have removed the "Fuller_projection_rotated.svg" image from the Dymaxion_map commenting that it was less clear than the other images.

I thought I'd let you know that In my opinion the image you've removed is the best and the other images may be redundant.

My reason is the presence of parallels and meridians on the contour map, making it very clear, and absence of those on the photographic maps.

Nomination of Filmizing for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Filmizing is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Filmizing until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 06:02, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
