National varieties of English
[edit]Hello. In a recent edit to the page John Foxx, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the first author of the article used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. HirowoWiki (talk | contribs) 20:45, 23 May 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm CodeTalker. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Kirk Douglas, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. CodeTalker (talk) 20:32, 31 May 2024 (UTC)

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Jackpot (unfinished film), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. CodeTalker (talk) 00:28, 14 June 2024 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Donald Albury. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Terry Moore (actress), but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Donald Albury 22:56, 17 June 2024 (UTC)
Hello, I'm OnlyNano. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Martyn Ware have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. I suspect that you are subtlety vandalizing the above article. Please add sources next time, and feel free to reach out to me if you find this is incorrect. OnlyNano 22:58, 18 June 2024 (UTC)

[edit] Hello, I'm FlightTime. Please refrain from changing genres, as you did to Bonnie Raitt even if you provide a/some source(s), you'll still need to start a discussion on the article talk page to allow editors who regular watch that page a chance to discuss the reliability of the source(s) you provided. One reason is, genre sources can easily be considered an opinion and not fact. Genre's are a touchy subject here on Wikipedia and without discussion/consensus, regardless of your source(s), your addition or removal will most likely be reverted. Your edit has been reverted and archived in the page history for now.
Thank you. - FlightTime (open channel) 23:18, 2 July 2024 (UTC)

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Polyrock. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Jalen Barks (Woof) 19:46, 4 October 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add information that is not supported by existing references within the article. Your recent (now reverted) edits to China Crisis fall in this category. Also I refer you to the relatively recent comments added here above on the same subject. Please also read WP:V before editing further. Thanks. - Derek R Bullamore (talk) 15:56, 2 November 2024 (UTC)

This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
