Hello, I'm LizardJr8. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Pretty in Pink, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. LizardJr8 (talk) 00:50, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling of Blane McDonough/McDonnagh's last name

[edit]

Hi! After I did more research, it appears there is not a clear answer for how to spell the last name of the Pretty in Pink character, "Blane McDonough/McDonnagh". I now believe you were editing in good faith, so I'm removing the notices I gave you. I've also started a discussion on the Pretty in Pink talk page to try to reach consensus on how it is spelled, which you are welcome to contribute to. For right now, I feel the spelling "McDonough" should be retained since it appears a majority of sources use this spelling, but this may change depending on how the discussion goes. Thanks! [edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Pretty in Pink. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 01:22, 9 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
