The Kings Cross is the oldest surviving gay bar in Cardiff, currently owned by Mitchells & Butlers.
The Kings Cross has been serving the Gay community of Cardiff for 35 years, providing a relaxed atmosphere with, regular cabaret acts, entertainment and food served daily. Originally built in 1872 and used as a hotel. [1]
Refurbishment
[edit]The Pub underwent a major refurbished in 1998[2], to have a drastic new layout, and then again in 2010 opening on January 29, with special apperance from gay Welsh Rugby player Gareth Thomas (rugby player). [3]
Awards
[edit]In 2009 The Kings Cross won the Pink Paper Award for best bar/pub in Wales[4]
