Eric Froilan Nicolas, (born February 1, 1971), known as Eric Nicolas (/ˈEric ni'cɒləs/), is a Filipino singer and comedian best known for his stunt in the hit TV show Your Face Sounds Familiar. He is fondly called The Funny Man.

Life and Career

Eric Froilan Nicolas was born on February 1, 1971 in Angeles City. He is the only son of Melinda Nicolas and Reynaldo Nicolas and the eldest of his 5 half siblings. He took Fine Arts in UST but had to stop due to financial issues. He started working to help send his other siblings to school. Eric has claustrophobia and acrophobia. He married Ethel Nicolas on February 21,2005.

He had several jobs before he joined the show business. He worked as a writer, a member of a dance group called Old School, a band vocalist and an animator at TOEI animation. As an animator, he was a part of the team of animators who created Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, and Slum Dunk. He also worked as a stand-up comedian before he landed a job as jester for the defunct noontime show Wowowie.

Thereafter, he has been most sought jester in ABS-CBN. The management has seen his natural comic style which opened doors for cameo roles on different TV series such as Kokey, Tyagong Akyat, Angelito ang Batang Ama, Wansapanataym, to name a few. He was even casted in Home Sweetie Home, a Saturday family TV show, by Director Bobot Mortiz.

His biggest break was chosen as one of the participants in the hit TV show Your Face Sounds Familiar Season 2 which aired in 2015. The show has opened more doors for him. He became a co-host of Game ng Bayan, I Love OPM and We Love OPM. He also became part of Umagang Kay Ganda's Eh Kasi Lalaki Present segment. Moreover, he was casted in the top rated prime time teleserye Dolce Amore.

Apart from his acting career, he also ventured on singing. He has launched 2 songs, Aking Pasko and Ating Pag-ibig, both written by Vehnee Saturno.
