Erik Cambria received his BSc and MSc cum laude in Electronic Engineering from the University of Genoa (Italy), in 2005 and 2008 respectively.

Since 2009, he is on an industrial EPSRC PhD studentship born from the collaboration between the University of Stirling (UK), the MIT Media Laboratory (USA) and Sitekit Labs (UK) for the development of next-generation intelligent web applications. His interests include AI, Semantic Web, NLP, opinion mining and sentiment analysis, affective and cognitive modeling, HCI and e-health.

Erik is a PC member and/or reviewer of several international workshops, conferences and journals, a Web Science lecturer at University of the Highlands and Islands (UK) and a research affiliate at HP Labs India (India), Chinese Academy of Sciences (China) and Microsoft Research Asia (China).
