Fair use rationale for Image:Kincraigshinty.png

Image:Kincraigshinty.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. CorenSearchBot is in error - in my transferring Kincraig (Shinty) to Kincraig Shinty Club it seems to have searched the article and found one of those sites which lifts straight from wikipedia. Sologoal (talk) 15:47, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Kincraig are a notable club in shinty, they are full members of the Camanachd Association [1] and compete at national level as all other shinty clubs. it is as notable as every other shinty club. They are far more notable than many of the football teams which have their own pages on the Wikipedia. An argument could be made about their success of the years but this does not detract from their notability. Sologoal (talk) 16:10, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notability is not a matter of opinion: can you cite references from independent, reliable sources - see WP:ORG? and can you explain the significance of "division three", which does not sound like national level, but perhaps is a misleading term? As shinty is only played to a competitive level in Scotland, North Divison Three is the equivalent of the whole of the North Highlands of Scotland - they also compete in National Cup Competitions encompassing the whole of Scotland. There fore the club are actually competing in the fourth tier of the "World League". Aslo Alain baxter, teh olmpic Skier played for them - he is a notable person and his connection to the club is all the more notable as he is the only verifiable Olympian/Shinty player in history.

[2] [3] [4] [5] Frankly, I was trying to tidy up the article so that it would come under the more correct term of Kincraig Shinty Club as opposed to Kincraig (Shinty) which it has happily been exisitn gat for a good few years. These clubs come from small communities but their results and fixtures are listed every Saturday in national newspapers.Sologoal (talk) 16:25, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
