cause?
[edit]wind belts occur why? ≤≠≈
- I heard somewhere that they are due to the Coriolis effect. Apparently if the earth were larger or spun faster there would be more belts, but I have never seen a good enough account to load into Wikipedia. Benjamin Trovato (talk) 01:17, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
Rename Article?
[edit]While reading this, I noticed that almost every subject covered in this article already has a separate article for itself. Does anyone else think that this could be overhauled and changed/added into an outline page? Bass77 (talk) 19:22, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
- This article is clear and easy to read. However, it seems redundant with the Prevailing winds article. Is there a reason for having two articles on what appears to me as a same topic? --Jacques de Selliers (talk) 09:36, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
- They were written independently by different people on nearly the same subject. Combining them would remove an (overly?) simple introduction unless Prevailing winds were also re-written.Benjamin Trovato (talk) 01:12, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
Merge to Prevailing winds
[edit]This is just a worse version of that article. SpikeballUnion (talk) 21:23, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
- Redirected. No point merging an unreferenced article into a Good one. AIRcorn (talk) 09:11, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
- Someone suggested that last June. The matter was discussed and the article was retained. Benjamin Trovato (talk) 23:03, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Benjamin Trovato: Where was this discussed? The tags are still on so no one closed it until now. AIRcorn (talk) 03:17, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
- SpikeballUnion's talk page. There was no clear conclusion, but not enough evidence for removal. I guess I should have removed the tag. If you think the article is bad we can start the discussion again. I just noticed that someone just started a deletion discussion (see top of article).Benjamin Trovato (talk) 00:55, 31 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Aircorn: Finally. Been waiting 9 months for this. SUM1 (SpikeballUnion) (talk) 01:31, 12 April 2018 (UTC)
- It was early Category:Articles to be merged from May 2016. Went to AFD in the end anyway. AIRcorn (talk) 02:57, 12 April 2018 (UTC)
