Solenn Compper (born 14 March 1995) is a French track and field athlete who competes as a sprint hurdler.[1]

Career

Compper was a sprinter until 2018 when with her trainer Alain Lastécouères she moves to the sprint hurdles as a new challenge. The following sunmer she finished fourth in the French Elite championships in the 100m hurdles in a time of 12.99 seconds.[2]

On July 3, 2022, she won the 100m hurdles title at the Mediterranean Games in Oran, bringing her personal best to 12.92 seconds.[3]

She missed the 2023 summer season with injury. In September 2023, she changed coaches following the retirement of Alain Lastécouères, Frédéric Demaneche became her coach.[4] In February 2024, she was third at the French national indoor championships in Miramas.[5] She then won the 60 metres hurdles at the Elite Meeting in Nantes in a time of 8.01 seconds.[6] She was selected for the French team for the 2024 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow.[7] At the event she ran a personal best time of 7.96 seconds and reached the semi-finals.[8]
