History

[edit]

The Heytesbury Mount Noorat Football League was established from the merger of the Heytesbury Football League and Mount Noorat Football League.

The league consisted of nine teams with Heytesbury, Princeton, Scotts Creek, Simpson, South Purrumbete and Timboon joining from the Heytesbury League. Out of the other two former Heytesbury clubs, Port Campbell folded and Nirranda joined the Warrnambool District Football League.[2]

Three of the Mount Noorat Football League clubs joined in Kolora, Noorat and Panmure. Glenormiston College would join the Western Plains Football League for a few seasons and Ecklin folded. The Mount Noorat league did not have reserves so Ecklin and Glenormiston would not have the numbers to continue in the new league.

The league finished after a VCFL review in 2002.[3] After ten years, all clubs voted 12–0 to disband the league. Each club was allocated two votes.[4]
