Speedy deletion of Ian Court

A tag has been placed on Ian Court requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ←Signed:→Mr. E. Sánchez Get to know me! / Talk to me!←at≈:→ 20:33, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just a reminder...

You can contest speedy deletions using {{hangon}}, but you shouldn't delete the {{db-whatever}} tag or replace it with the hangon tag. ←Signed:→Mr. E. Sánchez Get to know me! / Talk to me!←at≈:→ 20:43, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WTCC 2009

You can't predict that those entries will compete in the whole season. Yes, it may be pedantic but it's true. Only when the driver competes in all 24 rounds then you can put "All" in the rounds box. See various series' season articles like GP2, World Series by Renault and British F3. Regards, Cs-wolves(talk) 18:34, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The lucky thing about it is, car #29 is due to be the Eurocopa car – the car in which the best performer at the previous round gets a shot at the next WTCC round. Meaning there will be a different driver at each round. I'd just keep it to the TBA if a driver was to be announced. Don't want rumours on there, and only put the round numbers on when they actually compete in the round.

Say for example, Marin Čolak couldn't make it for Puebla, and a replacement driver came in and uses the same number. It could be done like so:

Team Car No. Drivers Rounds
Croatia Čolak Racing Team Ingra SEAT León 2.0 TFSI 28 Croatia Marin Čolak 1-2
Driver 3-4

With the 3 and 4 signifying the driver took part at Puebla.

Regards, Cs-wolves(talk) 19:12, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I was aware of that, but I was using that above to signify how it would be done if the drivers didn't change numbers (á la F1, GP2). It would be the way you had it for changing numbers. Regards, Cs-wolves(talk) 20:04, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Previous years of numerous articles

I don't see why not. Seems a good way of putting it, to be quite honest. Regards, Cs-wolves(talk) 22:36, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of 2009 Intercontinental Rally Challenge Season

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article 2009 Intercontinental Rally Challenge Season, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

unsourced, potential hoax

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Jarmo Lehtinen

Hey. I've created a requested move regarding Jarmo Lehtinen (co-driver), so you might want to hold off on fixing those wikilinks. Thanks, Prolog (talk) 20:52, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Former BTCC drivers

The Plato and Thompson articles should have the alumnus template on them because they are currently not active in the series. Just copy the one from the Muller page and work from there.

I believe [not sure] that Kane is the official test driver for F2, although if Motorbase run a third car at somepoint, Kane will be at the wheel. Regards. Cs-wolves(talk) 18:08, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Colours?

I think the colours would originally have been used in the IndyCar article because of the stronger association of certain numbers with certain entrants and drivers that exists in US racing. This connection also exists in the other categories you extended it to (plus these articles are not as well maintained, so minor changes like that are less likely to be challenged). In F1, this connection has not existed since the numbering system was changed in 1996, so there's probably less of a reason for the colour-coded numbers. However, it would be worth bringing this issue up at WT:F1 as I don't really have a strong opinion on the matter, and it would be useful to get some more input.--Diniz(talk) 18:52, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated notice. A user is concerned you may be misusing multiple accounts or IPs (for example to edit war or evade a restriction), and has asked more experienced editors to review yours' and others' editing to see if they agree or not.

A concern like this must be supported by evidence, which they have posted on this page. You can comment on the matter as well, for example to defend yourself or explain background that might help third party editors in their review of the case.

  • If there isn't a good case, then you don't even need to comment (although you can), because the reviewing administrators will usually see that for themselves. Nothing will happen if there isn't reasonable evidence; the case will close.
  • If you do wish to comment, please keep it brief, explain what a reviewer needs to know, and stick to the point; anything else except the question "have multiple accounts or IPs been used improperly" is off topic and may be removed by any clerk. D.M.N. (talk) 19:22, 16 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

DTM infoboxes

Well I got the main stats (starts, wins, etc.) from Driver Database, and get the championship positions from the other articles, if they are not listed on DriverDB. Regards. Cs-wolves(talk) 09:45, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

F2

It's carnage today. There's NASCAR, IRL, BTCC, F3 Euro, DTM, F2, WTCC, IFM, and so much more. I didn't include it because we really shouldn't have sponsorship in the races/cars. I can't remember the exact position of where it was on Wiki, but it's something I remember being told not to have sponsorship. Cs-wolves(talk) 12:24, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, it's an interesting point. I think PalmerSport Junior ran all the cars in T-Cars, and then PalmerSport in FPA. Not 100% sure on that, but I think it should be feasible to have it there. ;) Cs-wolves(talk) 12:36, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WTCC results

Seems alright, although you should really put the bold and/or italics on the circuit name, not the actual result. Also, there was a load of numbers after the coloured first eight rounds. No need for them. Cs-wolves(talk) 01:54, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

2010 F1 Grid

Okay, but I've added a whole heap in there on the FIA's ultimatum and Renault's potential withdrawl due to a downturn in sales. They're both pretty much identical save for my new stuff, so I'll just edit that in. Prisonermonkeys (talk) 10:31, 12 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nah, that's alright. I usually do the qualifying tables, an I stick one in there through force of habit. I was expecting an edit conflict, anyway. I only made one change to your table: Campos are actually going to be known as Campos Meta1, not Campos Grand Prix. Prisonermonkeys (talk) 10:40, 12 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Found article listing name as Campos Meta1 - http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/75501 Prisonermonkeys (talk) 11:05, 12 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You'd better be prepared...

Seeing as I'm travelling from airport to airport today, I think you're gonna have to be in charge of the results. F2, F3 Euro, DTM, and SF to name four. Good luck. ;) Cs-wolves(talk) 04:45, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WTCC infobox

Sadly, it's like that for a reason. 1987 WTCC rounds were made up by a single race, and the infobox should be applied to those races as well as the current era races. Cs-wolves(talk) 16:42, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Never thought of that proposal. ;) Cs-wolves(talk) 16:50, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rigon

I think at first that Rigon was done for the season due to the budgetary problems, as it had been on the cards since Monaco. When he missed out in Germany, I thought González had the drive for a while, but obviously I was wrong! Cs-wolves(talk) 19:19, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Coloni/FMS

It all depends on the other series, if they're still going under the FMS name or whether they're all changing to Scuderia Coloni. I believe the Coloni parts should be split, as one focusses on the Grand Prix team, while a short section appears for the F3000 team. Oh, and if you ever need something for the GP2 media thing, Username: gp2 and Password: media. ;) Cs-wolves(talk) 12:23, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Coloni Motorsport would be best I feel, as that incorporates both the F3000 team and the GP2 team. We can always reflect the new name at the top, in a similar way to Fat Burner Racing Engineering. FMS only existed from 2005 onwards, so there will be very little in comparison to all the Coloni info. I apologise for my talk page then! Cs-wolves(talk) 13:44, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'd say keep the FMS GP2 stuff on the article. BCN details are listed on the Ocean Racing Technology article, so we have to follow such. I'd say we'd have to look such websites that track a lot of the series for Coloni results. Cs-wolves(talk) 15:32, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, that sounds pretty feasible. I'm sure Speedsport and Driver Database will also document some of the statistics also. Really? I got on this article pretty easy, and I'm not a subscriber. Odd... Cs-wolves(talk) 16:29, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well you have to admit it is three and a half years old after all. ;) Cs-wolves(talk) 18:50, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Redirects

True, but then again, I usually do most articles out of boredom. Unless some people beat me to it (ahem, Tambay and Merhi...Peter). ;) Although, I don't need to order people to create some other articles, unlike some users. Ha. Cs-wolves(talk) 17:31, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

FBMW Europe

104 points is a domination, isn't it not? ;) Cs-wolves(talk) 17:24, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No worries man. Erm...I just followed the consensus with what to do. A possible re-consensus might be required on the WPMS but I don't know. And yeah, I did see it. Cs-wolves(talk) 19:07, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That was some good timing with your creation of the article; just as I had found this image on Flickr.--Midgrid(talk) 20:46, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lotus F1 Team/Team Lotus

Thank but no thanks. I see no reason I can't post a discussion item to BOTH pages so long as both exist. I wanted it to be on the Lotus F1 Team, so that people may go to Team Lotus and see the fact that I have posted on Team Lotus an opposition to the split. I think it is necessary for those who see that page first to know that the discussion is going on.--Amedeofelix (talk) 18:24, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Referring to your edit to Template:Formula One teams, please see WT:F1#Glock/Kobayashi in Template:Formula One teams, to see a discussion on which driver should be where. Mercedes

I admit I screwed up. However, at the time the article I linked to was the best that I had. I understand a little German, and took the article at its word. The idea was to beat others to the punch and prevent a flurry of edits and vandals. However, that report was premature and I inadvertently caused the very problem I was seeking to avoid. I will add that none of the reports out of Britain were accurate until Autosport ran something that confirmed no driver decisions had been made. And unlike most people who edit things in without references, I went back and reversed (almost) everything I did. That's how I justify dong it: based on the information available, I had what I thought was an accurate assessment. Prisonermonkeys (talk) 13:52, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
