Suspected sockpuppets


Majorsmithers is an old account but little used (only 10 edits in two years) but the overlap of that account and ViktoriaSoviet editing on Lyn Philp, and then Majorsmithers coming to the aid of Viktoriasoviet's two articles (at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/David whittet and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fred Potts (film director) is too coincidental to ignore. The fact that Mangoclowns has only edited three times, of which two were on Viktoria's AFDs, is also too big a coincidence. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 03:51, 29 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Suspected sockpuppets

Both suspected socks have been WP:STALK the same user on The Sidelong Glances of a Pigeon Kicker ([1] [2]). I think this is Escapement because the older account connects to previous socks on an obscure article about a boxer ([3] [4]). Sro23 (talk) 13:38, 3 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello.

I was in the middle of replying to this earlier on when my laptop rebooted. I'm the guy he keeps on harassing. My other laptop is very old and throttling, so I cannot be bothered typing the whole story again. So basically, here is a shorter summary of what this guy has been doing to me recently.

  • Spams anxiety and gaming related forums with aliases, and demands I be banned.
  • Read my Sylvester Stallone related posts from elsewhere, so he followed me here.
  • Posted up my parents' full names as it's listed somewhere online, in a birth certificate.
  • Certain forums are poorly moderated as they've became highly inactive, and he knows this.
  • He steals pictures of people I know to use as his avatars on forums (i.e. Mark Strange).
  • Registers sock puppets and replies to his own posts, kidding on he has back-up.
  • Mentions my personal/legal issues and my autism, and says he'll not quit until I'm gone.
  • Posts troll bait on other forums to provoke a response, and sends me friend requests I do not approve.
  • Obtained my friend's address from a YouTube video we created, and sent people there asking for me.

I'm not sure if contacting the local authorities will really do any good. I've had a history of being abused online and the anonymous nature of it all means it's almost impossible to detect where it originated from. It's hard to get anything done about it, as the people who are harassing me at message boards use pseudonyms and sadly, this has been going on for around 15 years.PeterMan844 (talk) 14:33, 3 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. That's him...again! He's constantly harassing me at a message board that has no active moderators, and posting things to explain the situation to others sadly just feeds his fire.

Although it's not my fault he does what he does, I want to apologize to Wikipedia staff for this guy being a nuisance here. He followed me here because he monitored all these things I posted on message boards about i.e. my former support workers, my beef with The Internet Movie Database, over their moderators removing verifiable film credits on the page for Sylvester Stallone, and me using forums to discuss the Resident Evil games, which is why he mass registered at a forum I go on that doesn't have any moderators. Everybody there is getting sick of his spam, but he just jumps proxies and registers again anyway. He also sent people to my friend's house a few weeks ago, after he posted fake ads on a site we couldn't trace. Someone on a forum advised me to 100% ignore him and not mention him or react at all any more, as talking about him is giving him energy to keep doing this.PeterMan844 (talk) 22:35, 5 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Suspected sockpuppets

The account was dormant for a long time before suddenly returning. (Note Escapement received only a temporary block back in 2015 for socking, which is why they are still able to edit). Recently, several suspected sockpuppets of this sockmaster have been popping up to harass a certain user. Sro23 (talk) 02:38, 9 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
