Wars?

The title of this page, "Mughal-Maratha wars," is probably incorrect. What had existed between the declining Mughals and the early Maratha rulers was not a state of open and declared armed conflict (which is the meaning of war). It was more like occasional warfare, perhaps only skirmishes, now and then as the occasion arose. I propose that we change the name of the page to: "Mughal-Maratha hostilities in the early 18th-century." Fowler&fowler«Talk» 13:43, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I've requested for a move. Add your concerns there. Thank you! Imperial[AFCND] 11:12, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Some people have removed the Result section from the page. Pls re edit it here's the content | result = Maratha victory[1][2][3]

  • Mughals failed to annex Maratha state.[4][5]
  • By the end of 1706, Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb retreats to Ahmadnagar, Marathas invade Gujarat and regain possession of all forts previously lost to Mughals.[3]

Agreed, it was Mughals failing to Annex Maratha Kingdom in which case it was a Maratha Victory as they fought back with 27 years of war. Needs to be reverted. Thewikiuser1999 (talk) 03:20, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please let me edit this page someone has removed the result section. And the people who have access to editing this page are not bothered. Anir---uddhapoool6969 (talk) 08:10, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You can indirectly edit the page by stating, clearly, what change you would like to see in it. Use "Change X to Y", "Add X to page at Y point", or "Remove X from the page". Remember to provide reliable sources. RegentsPark (comment) 17:02, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There is a simple spelling error in the third paragraph. In the sentence, " In 1689 Sambhaji was captured by the Mughals, nd executed with some cruelty.", the "nd" should be "and". Constantinople76 (talk) 20:32, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
