Summary

Description
English: Jewish Chaplain Shoulder Boards, part of the historical display at the U.S. Naval Chaplaincy School and Center, Armed Forces Chaplaincy Center, Ft Jackson, Columbia, S. Carolina. Shoulder boards with the "shepherd's crook" were only worn by two U.S. Navy Jewish Chaplains, David Goldberg and Harold Strauss. The shoulder boards were worn before the Navy approved the insignia of two tablets of the Ten Commandments, topped by a six pointed Jewish star.
