Request reason:

I sincerely have no idea why I’ve been blocked. For some odd reason my IP geolocation is wholly inaccurate - it says I’m in Yakima, WI, while in reality I live outside Washington DC. The inaccuracy may possibly be due to the fact that I’m currently overseas. The Kip (talk) 07:17, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of Arena Football League teams, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Albany Empire (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Edits to NHL season

This was to streamline and simplify the rows for each city's restrictions. Often times the date that a state announces a change in restrictions do not align with when they actually take effect. We do not need to attribute the governors everywhere, plus the requirements for testing in NY contradict what is said in sources (it must be a PCR test within 72 hours of the event, and the WSJ article mentions that you may be required to take an antigen test too if the PCR test is more than 48 hours old) ViperSnake151  Talk  02:34, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I’ll go back and streamline it more a little later, I certainly see what you mean by the spamming of governors in certain spots. Just concerned that a little too much was removed on the first go-around. The Kip (talk) 19:03, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

NHL stats

I thought that I'd let you know now that the stats on the 2020–21 NHL team articles are not meant to be updated every game. The reason we don't update after each game is because constant updates cause too many errors, which is what we want to prevent. One update per every 5 games is good enough. NHL milestones

Please double-check the facts before adding, because this addition (already reverted) is factually incorrect as Bobrovsky played his 500th game on February 10, 2020, as the source says – Florida honored Bobrovsky for his 500th NHL game – played Feb. 10, 2020, in Philadelphia – in a pregame ceremony, and the Russian goalie improved to 5-1-1 against his former club.Sabbatino (talk)

Attribution of authorization for spectators on 2020-21 NHL season

The similar tables established on other articles (NFL, where I had first established this format, MLB, etc.) do not include such statements. In fact, I like the variation of the format that the MLB article has instituted, as it's cleaner and shows more of a timeline of increases. ViperSnake151  Talk  05:11, 19 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies

I'm sorry about the mess on Urban Meyer's page. I know it's cleaned up now, but I felt I still owed at least a little communication regarding it. Golden Knights

The next time you edit the VGK page, could you at least put in some time and effort and fill out the game log entirely instead of making partial updates as you did in this edit? I don't know if you're just trying to beat me to it and get the meat and potatoes finished or something, but just take the time to do it properly the first time around, because it looks like an eyesore when there are empty columns in the game log. 2021 All-pro team

It's original research because the AP source provided does not provide a team-by-team count. You cannot just count the amount yourself and add the table. That is the very definition of original research. From WP:OR "...any analysis or synthesis of published material that serves to reach or imply a conclusion not stated by the sources." So, leave it out of the article unless you can find a source that gives a team-by-team count.--Rockchalk717 17:58, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

First off, it’s not reaching a conclusion considering it’s literally restating earlier information, but whatever. Just don’t blame me for clutter when there’s 32 individual sources on the page. The Kip (talk) 18:01, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It's exactly that. If the article "restated" it that's a different story. I don't care how many sources it takes to verify it and it is possible to add the number from each team without clutter. If I or someone else feels it's clutter, it can edited to keep the sources but make it less cluttered.--Rockchalk717 18:04, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

2022 Stanley Cup playoffs

I know that you mean well and that you're trying to help but you're starting to become a disruptive editor. Deadman137 (talk) 04:23, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • I don't take too kindly to being told "you're not helping" when your own reversion and update left an entire goal off the board + wrong goalie totals. The page is open to the entire wiki to edit, not just you. Interpret that as you wish. The Kip (talk) 04:25, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Given how many errors you've made and caused tonight it would be best if you found something else to do. Deadman137 (talk) 04:26, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If this is in relation to the Leafs-Lightning page, NHL.com had the McDonagh and Matthews goals as SHG and PPG until the end of the game, respectively. I'll edit pages as I see fit, and again, I'm not the only one making errors here. The Kip (talk) 04:28, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It's in relation to pretty much most of your edits on this article. Deadman137 (talk) 04:31, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I was spot-on with the update to Carolina-Boston, as well as the several games that weren't updated several nights ago. I've also been accurate with the goalie chart and even bumped it up minutes-wise when nobody else did.
If you want my "bona-fides," I helped and help maintain the season pages frequently (standings, stats, notable events, etc) and kept the VGK page's stats updated nearly game-by-game this year, as well as creating multiple articles for prospects called up to play.
Please don't try to make me out to be some vandal when my lone mistake was believing an NHL.com editor's error. The Kip (talk) 04:36, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You are correct that you're no vandal, I never claimed that you were, my apologies if you felt that way. I could care less about your bona-fides. What I do care about is that you were nothing but hot mess all night long and you were creating unnecessary issues. You were not spot on with any game related edits tonight or the other night as everything you touched had problems or created problems, a well intentioned mess, is still a mess. I understand that it can be upsetting when you're doing your best to help and you find out that it's not good enough. There are certainly many things that you can help us with and we'd be more than happy to have you, but this area is not the best spot for your talents. I certainly don't want to have to start issuing you with formal warnings for your editing, but another night like this one and I would have no choice but to start doing that as you would be doing more harm than good to the article. Deadman137 (talk) 06:56, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Considering I went back and checked through every one of my edits to this page, and found the only significant post-edit changes to be on the Maple Leafs-Lightning game, I'd love to see exactly how "everything [I] touched had problems or created problems."
Normally, if this were a complaint over one error I'd take it in stride, but what angers me overtly is the accusation of "everything" I've done being mistake-laden when that's simply untrue. The Kip (talk) 13:09, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As I said to you in my previous response, the issue is with the continual errors in the game summaries that you've worked on and yes those edits do contain many errors. I can understand that you're upset by this, but you have to understand that we're busy enough at this time of year and the last thing that we need to be doing is having to go around and have to fix all of your errors in addition to what we're normally working on.
In all honesty it's perfectly fine to not be good at something on this site, the key is to avoid areas where you have a weakness and instead focus on your strengths. I took some time to review some of the work that you've done on BLP articles and you do have a knack for those articles and you can provide more value to the project by focusing in that area. At this point it would be in your best interest to drop this and move onto something more productive. Deadman137 (talk) 00:07, 12 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

NHL Coaching Changes

Be prepared. I will be making this something consistent for previous seasons, but only for interim coaches who did not become the permanent head coach. Especially as it is something that was done in the past (2015–16, 2016–17, 2017–18 NHL season). Only since 2018–19 onwards has it not been done, but that will be changed. By removing this content, it will become inconsistent and I will consider your actions to be bordering an edit war. Thank you. Conyo14 (talk) 22:03, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

22-23 VGK transactions

Stop editing the template. I am the consensus, it follows every other team that I've set it for. Fleming is an acquisition, not a signing. Stop changing it. End of discussion. Nanerz (talk) 23:46, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

"I am the consensus" is an inherently contradictory sentence, as well as an incorrect one.
By my count, combining edits that occurred a few minutes apart as one each, you've made exactly four edits to this page this season. You made a grand total of 17 to last year's with the vast majority coming before the season. This is not "your page," you have not set it this year; in fact, I've actually done the majority of the legwork this year, adding nearly every section, but even then I don't claim it as my rule goes if an edit seems logical. On top of all of that, nobody else that's edited the page this or last year has had any issue with the format; this has wholly been your effort to change in line with how you solely see fit.
In short, to quote someone, stop changing it, end of discussion. The Kip (talk) 00:45, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I never said this is my page, but from what I'm reading you seem to think it is yours. Stop changing the template that is consistent across 90% of the team pages. I am not setting it for the reason of putting my foot down. The template was created to maintain consistency across the team pages. I have been updating the transactions sections of these pages after taking a break for a couple years. This may be why my edits are few in far between as I can only do them as I have the time and nobody else seems to be bothering with them (apart from a few other teams). You may go look for yourself and notice that without my work this task was abandoned. Please, stop changing the template for no reason, that is all I ask. Now on the Fleming point, Fleming was not drafted. He was not apart of the Vegas organization before he signed. The signings subsection is for players within the organization. The acquisitions subsection is for all free agents, which Fleming was. I hope that clears it up for you. Nanerz (talk) 21:52, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
WP:NOTGETTINGIT. Just because a template is consistent acrosss "90% of team pages" does not mean it's a mandate, and for the umpteenth time, nobody has had a problem with it besides you; not to mention, team pages are somewhat inconsistent to begin with, as Winnipeg didn't even have their schedule until about two weeks ago and the last several years of Vegas pages have alternatively added or dropped sections. Also, if you'd paid any remote attention to the page besides your edit-warring, you'd see I actually agreed with your point on Fleming and left him in the free agent section, but clearly you have not. Please stop with your "consensus" and just let myself and Yowashi maintain the page as we continuously and successfully did so and have done so. The Kip (talk) 02:56, 5 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The discussion above is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
Actually, nobody had a problem with it until you did. Of course I'm going to have an issue with you changing it, mistakenly. Nanerz (talk) 03:38, 5 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Condition on Jeannot trade

Have you been able to find confirmation on the conditional first in the trade becoming 2026? Tampa already has 2026 conditionally tied up in last year's Hagel deal. So if the 2026 1st is in play, there would actually need be a second condition along the lines of: if 2025 is top 10 AND 2024 is top 10 (such that CHI gets 2026 instead), then NSH gets 2027, or something. I'm gonna wait to see how it all shakes out..! Wild day, eh!? Love it –uncleben85 (talk) 03:51, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's been absolute insanity indeed, the Meier trade's conditional picks almost broke my brain.
As for the 2026 pick, I assumed it would shift due to the 2025 pick being top-10 protected per the NHL.com article; I was unaware that's already tied up in the Hagel trade, so I may have jumped the gun on that. Feel free to edit however necessary and thanks for your hard work! The Kip (talk) 03:53, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I feel like a 2027 1st might need to be included either way, so may switch it to that, but I'm sure if none of the teams will say it outright (the Preds and the NHL releases didn't say either), CapFriendly will get us straightened out soon enough anyway –uncleben85 (talk) 04:02, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

T-Ban from ITN question

Hi there. To answer your question that you posited in WT:ITN, none of the incidents up to this point have risen to the level where a T-ban would be appropriate, because they aren't inherently uncivil or tendentious in nature. There has to be a central "straw that breaks the camel's back" incident, which would then be used as the focal point for any ANI request to highlight an urgent incident and chronic, intractable behavioral problem. At that point, all of the previous "semi-disruptive" edits could then be used as supporting evidence to then call for a block or T-ban. Good example of that here. Actually, you had participated in that discussion, so you knew firsthand what it was that sparked the eventual CBAN.--WaltClipper -(talk) 16:30, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Transaction references

Hey, first and foremost, thank you for your help on the page! Clubs are NOT waiting this year!! But also, just a heads up, don't want you to feel like I'm going in and changing all your edits everytime, so thought I would explain. Feel free to keep adding refs whenever you make an edit - it's not a bad idea to have a source immediately, you just might find its not always there or you're doing double work, so it's not worth it - but ultimately we try to keep two things in mind: 1) A neutral source; if two or more teams are directly involved (read: TRADES), try to get a source NOT from one of the teams. An official NHL release or a secondary news outlet, the more reliable the better like SN or TSN and then 2) Primary resource if possible; so again, NHL over an outlet if a neutral reference is needed BUT a team reference if they are the only party directly involved in the transaction (SIGNINGS, TERMINATIONS, WAIVER CLAIMS) would be a preferable primary source over the NHL version, if available.

I hope that makes sense.... hahaha –uncleben85 (talk) 22:36, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Heard and understood! As for team sources, I'm moreso using them as placeholders unless they're the extremely minor trades that won't receive much coverage otherwise (ex. the just-now Predators-Rangers trade for an AHLer); I figure it's better to have at least something there until a neutral source is available, as opposed to a blank box. I'll keep the above in mind, though.
And likewise, thank you for your hard work as well! The stove's been white-hot these past three days, haha. The Kip (talk) 22:39, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, that makes sense for that Predators-Rangers trade. Sportsnet can be hit and miss for those really minor trades (better than TSN though), but if not something might pop up in the next couple of days with a smaller, more local outlet, but the team ref is definitely fine for now
Just waiting for those Kane and Ekholm trades to be made official. Oof! But hey, Friday will be a breeze at this rate!–uncleben85 (talk) 23:22, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, we're on track to have virtually nothing at the actual deadline at this point, lol
Also, a side note - seriously, thank you for being patient/diplomatic w/ any mistakes I've made; I've come across way too many editors (including myself sometimes, unfortunately) that default to snark/rudeness in the same scenario. I'll try my best to keep ironing them out and I'm happy to keep working on this w/ you! The Kip (talk) 00:55, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Haha, yeah, some people can certainly be stubborn in their ways here, lol! So, was trying to give you a little bit of the rundown without trying to come across rude. And reality is, not like there's any mistake or edit made that can't be fixed, on here! –uncleben85 (talk) 01:23, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sutter's coaching record

Regarding this edit – I was also confused, but after doing some research I came across game recaps (March 6, 2021 and March 7, 2021), which said that assistant coach Ryan Huska was the head coach for those games due to Sutter being on COVID-19 protocol. – sbaio 10:52, 7 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the update. It was certainly quite bizarre; no two sources, even reputable ones, seemed to agree on what his actual record was, so I just went with what the NHL said for the time being. Happy you were able to clarify, though. The Kip (talk) 15:57, 7 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

NHL Hiring Week

Much like yesterday with Andrew Brunette and the Nashville Predators, a lot of teams are likely to hire to fill their vacant positions this week. Unfortunately, several unconfirmed users and IPs are jumping the gun on the respective teams. The Rangers, Penguins, Flames, and Maple Leafs have several reports, but nothing officially confirmed. I will check in on NHL.com to grab a confirmed source when it's ready (or you will), but it could get hectic this week. Conyo14 (talk) 17:02, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Keegan Kolesar and 2023 Stanley Cup Finals trivia (and possible tangent to "Black players in ice hockey")

Hey, so I noticed the IP edit that added in the Kolesar trivia bit; the source was taken down earlier by @Conyo14 because it was original research (I read it, and yeah a blog) but the trivia stayed up at that moment, I made a small edit linking Kolesar's name to it, and eventually you edited it out afterward cause of the lack of source hurting and the "only the 10th player" rationale.

Would that be good trivia to add back in (and maybe even check in on and add to the other Stanley Cup winners pages) if I or someone else can find a much better source for that (other than the original research/hockey blog)?

---

Just for context, I agree with taking it out due to the lack of a good source, and I get where you're coming from in terms of comparable notability, but I can also agree with the IP address that BIPOC in hockey is a worthy topic in it of itself, hence the wiki page it has (Black players in ice hockey) and the (List of page) which I linked below, and giving the diversity (or lack thereof, and the supermajority of Caucasian/white players in the NHL i.e. the highest level professional hockey, in comparison to black and other BIPOC players) and it can be an issue of reflection and maybe even a contentious spot for the sport as well (regarding certain topics like: socio-economic access due to how expensive it is to play let alone get started, racism in hockey, how it took from 1917-1957/58 for someone to break the black colour barrier though technically Larry Kwong broke the non-white barrier in 47/48, the sheer lack of black players/BIPOC diversity in the NHL in comparison to the other Big 3 North American major professional leagues NFL/MLB/NBA, etc.)

I counted the number of players on the List of black NHL players page (using Excel), and yes it's a dynamic list, but I got 104 players, and out of 7565 skaters + 866 goalies = 8431 total players to play in the NHL (both I checked on the NHL.com stats page for all players in NHL history from 1917-18 to 2022-23 to play 1 NHL game), the percentage of black players, at 104/8431 = 1.23% is incredibly low, and I may not have exact numbers in front of me right now, but I can imagine that other racial stats in the NFL/MLB/NBA aren't that low either (unless we want to get pedantic and pick out super rare edge cases of races/ethnicities of those that are super rare in the major 4 leagues anyways, like I don't know using random examples like Armenians or Moldovans or Turkmens).

---

IDK, maybe I feel like the BIPOC topic, especially how it (or lack thereof) can relate to hockey, and the low numbers being low enough to be notable, warrant trivia belonging somewhere. Maybe if it doesn't end up on the Stanley Cup Finals trivia of who won them, at the least we (or someone else) can list the black Cup winners on the "Black players in ice hockey" page.

Jeez I went on a longer-than-expected typing spree. Thoughts? Duyneuzaenasagae (talk) 02:48, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

My personal thoughts on such trivia is whether it's too much or just enough. BIPOC deserve to be mentioned, but because it is the tenth player to receive it I was hesitant to remove the trivia. The source was definitely Original Research though. So, I guess if there is a source confirming this, it can be re-added. Conyo14 (talk) 04:36, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm open to it being re-added if a definitive source can be found, but my primary concern is that it was uncited. Him being the tenth is more a matter of personal opinion that I'm open to being swayed on. The Kip (talk) 15:44, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Nate Thompson

I see what you're saying and am down for it. I feel like then, though, there are dozens of unsuccessful PTOthat subsequently retired within the year, the are missing from all the past pages.s –uncleben85 (talk) 20:11, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hammond had had an NHL contract within the year prior though, at least. Hammond and Thompson were both last on NHL contract 2021-22. Regarding your last edit

Question regarding the edit you made to the ongoing events where 2023 Syrian protests was located under Syrian Civil War. Do you not consider protests as part of a civil war when protesters are holding flags of factions participating in the war? CatmanBw (talk) 19:44, 27 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The protests are occurring solely in government-held territory, against the government, over an economic crisis influenced by the civil war but not directly part of it. The civil war involves battles, attacks, the refugee crisis, and so on; just because the protests are occurring in the same country and some protestors have the opposition flag doesn't make it a part of the war. If the protests were directly motivated by/involving the Syrian opposition, perhaps it would be, but for now all evidence points primarily to just normal citizens angry over the miserable state of the economy and their livelihoods, with the primary factor being a government decision last week that caused inflation to shoot upward. The Kip 00:10, 28 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The protests are also occurring in Opposition and SDF held areas in support of the protests that are occurring in government held-areas. There are raids by protesters on government buildings, which some people might consider attacks. Armed Druze groups are also involved in the protests with some of them arresting government agents in response to an activist being arrested. In the end, it's a very thin line. Let me know what you think in response. CatmanBw (talk) 00:27, 28 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The article indicates nothing of protests in opposition/SDF areas, and the raids/citizens' arrests are part of the protests that again, are motivated by the recent economic disaster rather than the war. There's nothing directly connecting the protests to the war thus far.
I'll reconsider if the article illustrates any of the former point, but at the moment it simply doesn't. The Kip 00:30, 28 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Question?

I feel like my edit should be on there but everyone keeps removing it can you please tell me how to add it correctly? 27bchao1 (talk) 19:26, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You kept adding a copy-pasted article headline, rather than an actual blurb for the event, hence the initial reversions. Another user wrote a blurb out of the article, resulting in it being kept; however, that doesn't really explain why you removed multiple other blurbs in your last edit. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

With all due respect, I'm moving it back out of draftspace; it's no less notable or more poorly-sourced than any of the other lower-level women's U18 teams, such as Bulgaria or South Africa. The Kip 19:52, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Kallionkieli Termination

I do agree, I have not found specific phrasing in any sources, but usually you can only (non-mutually terminate) for very specific reasons that deem a breach of contract. Not reporting could be one of those, but Kallionkieli was already on loan, so I would hazard a guess the two parties agreed to part-ways so he could sign a new contract elsewhere, as opposed to Vegas trying to recall him from European Loan mid-season and him not reporting. It's a small and innocuous detail, just wanted to provide the context for my reason for setting is as "Mutual". Thanks for all of your help with the pages! –uncleben85 (talk) 15:04, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

My thought is that it might’ve not been mutual as he signed with Kiekko-Espoo roughly two weeks before his VGK contract was actually terminated, which might’ve been a violation of his NHL deal unless there was already an agreement with VGK to let him go. All good either way, though - definitely a minor detail, haha. The Kip 09:20, 26 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Can we please talk?

Multiple accounts like yours have been saying I am “Moka Mo” and I have been trying to say repeatedly that I am not Moka Mo. My name is Ethan Parker and that I have never heard of Moka Mo until August when these accusations were first brought to me. I mean does Ethan Parker sound anything like Moka Mo to you? That name sounds Asian to me so there is no way that can be me. Whenever I say these things I am either gaslighted or ignored by you guys. I don’t know what else to do because I’m always cancelled out by you guys. I tried to be calm and professional at first but the more I was silenced the more frustrated I got. In fact Starscream1007 even encouraged me initially to stand up for myself and keep fighting my case only for him to eventually turn the other way and turn his back on me when I asked him to be a character witness about how my edits were indeed in good faith and not meant to be harmful or disruptive. look back at my history from my account gymrat16 and you’ll see that edits made weren’t intended to be harmful and look at sbaios talk page history saying things like “Not Interested” or “Stop wasting time” canceling me out at every turn. I know I’m gonna be labeled as a sock now but this wouldn’t have happened if my original acc didn’t get blocked then I can do it from there 2600:1007:B0A9:34E9:192E:9E69:7981:D04A (talk) 16:11, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Martin St. Louis taking leave of absence

I don't want to have to take every head coach that takes a leave of absence onto the coaching changes of the 2023–24 NHL season. After all, several coaches every year step away due to illness or family matters. Unlike Bowness, who at the time it seemed like he would have been out for more than just a month, St. Louis's absence doesn't seem to be like it could be impactful. So, I'm wondering where we cross the line in the coaching changes table. Conyo14 (talk) 05:39, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies for the late response, been a bit too celebratory of St. Patrick’s Day the last 24 hours - IMO, if the LoA is noted as indefinite/long-term it’s worthy of inclusion (ex. Bowness), but if it’s a short term thing (like that, or Darryl Sutter missing a Flames game due to COVID), it shouldn’t be added. The Kip 02:43, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

make peace

Hello the Kip. I am Ethan Parker aka gymrat16. I was unblocked earlier today by administrators after my innocence of me not being moka mo came into play and I would like to ask if we can start over? I just thought I would let you know and multiple other people said I can gradually work my way abck to re-adding edits I made previously that were in good faith now that they know I was not moka mo after all. Gymrat16 (talk) 02:53, 22 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Well, if Arbcom was convinced I suppose I am too. Welcome back. The Kip 14:57, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you sir. And I am sorry if I lost my cool a couple weeks ago when trying to prove my innocence. You obviously seem like a smart dude so I am sure a small part of you can understand how frustrating it was for me to be falsely blocked and accused of being moka mo. Either way I am glad it is over and hopefully we can bury the hatchet like I did with all those other individuals (except sbaio sadly) Gymrat16 (talk) 15:35, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive editing by IP

Hey @The Kip, I noticed you left a left a message on 76.53.254.138's talk page. I just wanted to let you know, that I've noticed this editor is making quite a lot of POV edits lately and is also outright vandalizing some articles. Here are a few recent examples after looking through their contributions, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. The editor seems to have a very anti-Israel bias, like changing "Israeli victory" to "Egyptian victory" for the sake of it, which is concerning since they have been making quite a few edits related to the Gaza War on the current events portal. And as you can see, some edits are just blatant trolling which were quickly reverted by other editors. I think this could be a clear case of WP:NOTHERE. Your thoughts? GWA88 (talk) 21:48, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Fully agree with your concerns - I figured I’d leave the CTOP warning and wait until further editing to bring them to ANI/AE, but if you’d like to go ahead now I fully support it. The Kip 22:27, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I would say a block now will certainly prevent further disruption. GWA88 (talk) 22:35, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good to me. After scrolling through their past edit history, they seem to have not just an anti-Israel editing position, but they’ve also censored/removed negative content about the Iranian government and/or Islamic terrorism/militancy, claiming a lack of sourcing or similar rationale. The Kip 23:19, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Tagging @Muboshgu here, as they've now had to deal with the IP's slow-motion edit-warring at Assassination of Qasem Soleimani. The Kip 20:46, 2 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm. They got no warnings, until you gave them the contentious topics warning. I think a block is in order if they continue. – Muboshgu (talk) 20:52, 2 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@The Kip Yet another example of trolling from this IP here. Definitely NOTHERE and showing no signs of stopping this disruptive behaviour. GWA88 (talk) 23:32, 2 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@GWA88 and @Muboshgu, as they've resumed editing in the topic since the CTOP warning, I've filed an AE case. The Kip 03:00, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for signing my comment at WP:AN for me. It is very much appreciated. I use a number of scripts and tools on Wikipedia. Thanks for opening that. I posted a comment describing what I’ve observed. I’ve commented in some of these but have never opened one and I was going to have to educate myself on what the procedure for starting an investigation was. And I see it’s closed for lack of evidence beyond the Utah article. In my experience, people like that usually can't resist doing something else that will land them in hot water for other reasons (via ANI or whatever), so I guess we'll see how soon he tries again. I won’t be worrying about it today. Need to use the day off work to tend to other things. Thanks for opening the investigation, though. 1995hoo (talk) 14:55, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

On your AE statement

It is fine if you want to give your perspective on my conduct as it pertains to discussions with you, specifically your opinion on my usage of the word "opponent." However, opining on the ongoing discussion I am having with BilledMammal struck me as strange. For one, I have not had a chance to respond to him yet on his concern that I am dismissing reliable sources. It is also concerning to me that, as someone who does not appear to have extensive editing history in I/P, you feel it appropriate to adjudicate what is and is not a reliable source in the area, especially on such a sensitive matter like AE (unless you are an expert in the area and your editing history somehow conceals this, in which case mea culpa)

Claims made by the Israeli state are usually regarded with considerable scrutiny as they are a belligerent in the war. This seems like a common sense position. Even in cases where they are reported by reliable sources, we are still careful, as even reliable sources get things wrong on this issue (e.g., the Gettleman article). The most important thing in this case, however, and this is something that BilledMammal erred on as well, is that Wikipedia:Reliable sources did not even apply to the discussion we were having, as the discussion had nothing to do with editing an article. It was a meta-level discussion on whether support for Hamas on (for instance) user pages is acceptable. Thus, opining and engaging in Wikipedia:OR was not, to my understanding, unreasonable. Indeed, Wikipedia:OR explicitly excludes talk page discussions JDiala (talk) 06:46, 4 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I’m not interested in having a discussion of my AE statement at a venue that is not AE. I’m unsure whether this is definitively against policy, but I caution you that responses like this could potentially be considered a circumvention of the 500-word limit.
I will say, however, that I do have somewhat considerable experience in the area at WP:RSN and a handful of other articles - I’ve mostly stopped editing in it as I’ve, like my infobox says, found it to be overrun with POV-warriors more concerned with ensuring “their side” wins the narrative war than actually constructing an encyclopedia, and utterly pointless to put any time towards as a result. DYK for Chris Patrick (ice hockey)

On 20 July 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Chris Patrick (ice hockey), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Chris Patrick is one of seven Stanley Cup champions in his family? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Chris Patrick (ice hockey). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Chris Patrick (ice hockey)), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

ITN recognition for Sheila Jackson Lee

On 26 July 2024, In the news was updated with an item that involved the article Sheila Jackson Lee, which you nominated. If you know of another recently created or updated article suitable for inclusion in ITN, please suggest it on the candidates page. Stephen 00:03, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicate ITN nomination

Hey The Kip, I removed your nomination of Murray Costello because I had already nominated it under July 27 (that’s probably why you couldn’t see it).

(Sidenote: FYI ITN noms are supposed to be under the date the event occurred, not the date nominated (which is why I placed it in July 27), per the nomination steps, which say Find the correct section below for the date of the event (not the date nominated).)

Just thought I’d inform you. Best wishes. Scientia potentia est, MonarchOfTerror 18:22, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you!

The Vegas Golden Knights Barnstar
@The Kip, this is for you! From day one of being on Wikipedia, I have noticed your love for ice hockey—and for the Golden Knights. You've gotten Logan Thompson to GA, the Golden Knights themselves to GA, and created many articles about their prospects. The Kip, you were one of the editors who inspired me to edit Wikipedia, and because of that, I bestow upon you this specially made barnstar! XR228 (talk) 01:49, 2 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@XR228 - you were one of the editors who inspired me to edit Wikipedia
This right here's genuinely one of the most meaningful compliments I've ever received. Knowing that I've had a positive impact on others, especially one that's helped the project, is an incredible feeling.

Possible collab

Hello there. As you know, I'm currently in the process of remaking Hockey Mountain, and I was wondering if you could help me. Technically, I could do the entire remake by myself, but I feel that not only would it be quite a bit of work for one person, but I also need a fresh mind to work on it and revise it. If you decide to help me, you can help me list out/categorize a few never-ending sets of articles for the next few weeks (it's more fun than it seems). Of course, I assume you are busy in real life and on Wikipedia, but if you could help me, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. XR228 (talk) 20:52, 3 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@XR228, sorry for the late response - I'd be willing to help, though I'm not sure how much time I can dedicate to it. Anything specific you need for now? The Kip (contribs) 20:49, 5 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@The Kip: Thanks for letting me know. I will say, one of the main reasons I asked you for help was to make sure that I'm not ruining Hockey Mountain. Only a few days ago, my revamped version had only 16 parts to it. Now it has some 26 parts, which I do feel is too many, but I can't choose which ones to remove. If you could help me with that for now, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. XR228 (talk) 21:30, 5 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Nvm, I've figured it out (for the most part). Do you think my categorization looks good? And I may still need help filling in the long lists of articles and their respective ranks and goals. XR228 (talk) 03:47, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think the overall categorization is good - my only feedback right now would be to include the Hockey Hall of Fame article itself under part 3, and let me know if there's any lists that need to be filled. The Kip (contribs) 06:11, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@The Kip: I could create a topic about the HHOF, but I'll focus on Parts 1 and 2 first. I might need to call you up sometime to help me fill out the many lists needed for Part 2. Anyway, thanks. XR228 (talk) 06:15, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@The Kip: So about Part 2. What I was thinking was that I could fill out the tables for the even-numbered sections, and you could do the odd-numbered sections (You would do the tables for part 2 § 1, I would do it for 2 § 2, you do part 2 § 3, etc.). XR228 (talk) 19:20, 9 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@The Kip: I also want to get your opinion on merging parts 1 and 2, turning the current part 3 into part 2, and having the new part 3 be about the Triple Gold Club. Note that we wouldn't need a subsection about the Stanley Cup for Part 3 because we already have one in Part 1. Note that we It would look something like this:

Part 1: National Hockey League

  1. History of the National Hockey League
  2. Original Six
  3. 100 Greatest NHL Players
  4. NHL All-Star Game
  5. NHL commissioner
  6. NHL entry draft
  7. National Hockey League on television
  8. List of NHL awards
    1. Stanley Cup
  9. List of defunct and relocated National Hockey League teams
  10. List of NHL players
    1. List of NHL statistical leaders
    2. List of NHL career assists leaders
    3. List of goalscoring NHL goaltenders
    4. List of players with five or more goals in an NHL game
    5. List of players with eight or more points in an NHL game
    6. List of NHL players with 50-goal seasons
    7. List of NHL players with 100-point seasons
    8. List of NHL goaltenders with 300 wins
    9. List of NHL players with 500 consecutive games played
    10. List of NHL players with 500 goals
    11. List of NHL players with 1,000 games played
    12. List of NHL players with 1,000 points
    13. List of NHL players with 2,000 career penalty minutes
  11. List of NHL seasons

XR228 (talk) 19:10, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you go with the merged part 1, it feels a bit too big as a single item - here's what I would trim/revise:
If you go with the initial draft and add Triple Gold as a part 4, size won't be an issue with those included. The Kip (contribs) 21:42, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@The Kip: I see. Me personally, I want to keep Original Six and Def. and rel. teams. I do get where you're coming from with those "trivial one-off" player lists, but if a good topic can be made out of them, then why not make it.
So yeah I just added the Triple Gold Club as the fourth part. XR228 (talk) 22:18, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@The Kip: I just filled in the tables and whatnot for Part 4, and, because it's only four articles which have already been promoted to FL by either Scorpion0422, Maxim, or both, the topic is ready for promotion. I have a question—are you allowed to nominate a topic which you haven't contributed to, because if I could promote it, I would (after my two current FL noms get over). After I hypothetically make the articles a Featured Topic, I would remove it from Hockey Mountain (it's kind of silly we had it there anyway). XR228 (talk) 00:56, 10 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@XR228 I believe you can. Apologies for the slow rate of contribution lately, by the way - been dealing with a writer’s block of sorts. Hopefully I’ll get over it soon enough, I’d like to get back on promoting VGK lists. The Kip (contribs) 08:22, 11 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@The Kip: Thanks for letting me know, I'll promote the topic as soon as I am able. I also think it would be cool to see you promote some VGK season articles to GA. Just a suggestion. XR228 (talk) 16:43, 11 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also: apparently Scorpion0422 and Maxim nominated the topic a few years ago (it failed). However, I can nominate the topic for the Hockey Hall of Fame class of 1949. XR228 (talk) 20:21, 12 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ARBPIA ECR

Hello! Thanks for your work maintaining Portal:Current events. I noticed you reverted an IP user's edit with justification 'ARBPIA ECR'. I am a newer editor, and was wondering if you might link me to the relevant policy so that I can utilize it going forward as well. I found this page but I'm not sure where to look. Thanks again :) Tule-hog (talk) 21:05, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Circumstances can be found here.
TL;DR, to lower disruption in a very contentious topic area, editors are forbidden from making any edits (besides simple edit requests) relating to the Arab-Israeli conflict, broadly construed (meaning that if there's any question of whether an article/discussion/etc is related to the conflict or not, it probably is) until they achieve extended-confirmed status, meaning their registered account is at least 30 days old and has at least 500 edits. I made the reversion as, under these rules, IP editors are blanket-banned from making any contributions to the topic area, seeing as they're not registered accounts. August music

Thank you for opposing a ban for a new editor! - I have three "musicians" on the Main page, one the topic of my story today, like 22 July but with interview and today's music at the Proms. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:09, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

On 13 August, Bach's cantata was 300 years old, and the image one. The cantata is an extraordinary piece, using the chorale's text and famous melody more than others in the cycle. It's nice to have not only a recent death, but also this "birthday" on the Main page. And a rainbow in my places. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:31, 13 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

And I'd like to thank you for being the one to break the news about Sid to me. I didn't even know he was sick. I knew his article had been slipping for a while, though; sad, but fitting, for a pro wrestling legend. You know what I mean. That's the important thing! If it's any lesser consolation, at least the article's getting quite a bit of traffic. Humans and robots, clicking through at last. Some say that's the greater good, when it comes to journalistic timeliness. I say they're crazy rich people, though, and believe we'll always need good old-fashioned harbingers of doom like yourself to spread the word in as down-to-earth a manner as this digital world permits. Logan Thompson autograph incident

I respect you, unlike some people in the project, so I think we can have a civil discourse about this. Why? That was a notable event which I would argue is encyclopedic on an article his size. It's not like it's bloating it or it comes from a questionable source. mftp dan oops 21:20, 25 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@MFTP Dan Just wanted to lyk I saw this and will respond, just unfortunately a bit busy atm. The Kip (contribs) 19:02, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@MFTP Dan actual response:
  • W/ regards to the starting time opportunity - on further reflection, that's probably fine to include.
  • W/ regards to the autograph incident - I think it'd be worthy of inclusion if he was actually traded during it, but granted it was later confirmed he was traded earlier that morning, and it was just that the news officially broke during the autograph signing, I somewhat lean towards it being more a media-circus thing (bolstering the narrative of VGK being callous/heartless) that a significantly notable event.
The Kip (contribs) 21:03, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, with that added context on your second point, that makes more sense. I actually wasn't aware of that. Could I possibly word it differently based on this new information, if a source better than Granger's X account exists? mftp dan oops 01:00, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps, though worth noting Granger isn’t a random guy - he’s the VGK beat writer for The Athletic. The Kip (contribs) 02:39, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Noted, he is reliable enough as a person. But for sake of judgment on whether the event is notable enough for inclusion, I think you and I agree that something more than X is preferred in order to cover the content in question. mftp dan oops 20:21, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@The Kip: Hello there buddy. Let's have some fun today:

Hockey Mtn/Other stuff help

Hello again, @The Kip. I was hoping you could help me with a small task. At the top of this page, you'll see a section called "Thing" (very creative I know), which is supposed to be a redesign for that recognized content section on the bottom of the main page for WP:HOCKEY. First of all, can you tell me if my redesign is a good idea, and if yes, can you help me fill in some of the dates for the GA-Class articles. Thanks. XR228 (talk) 20:18, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@XR228 honestly, I'm not really a fan - while including dates would be nice, the laterally-grouped tables look cluttered/unbalanced, especially when the GA list is many times larger than the others. I think the current section is organized well-enough as it is - given that FAs are much rarer than GAs/FLs, it makes a degree of sense to have their own special table rather than a generalized list.
I'll also get to work on the other tables I've been assigned soon (4/6 I believe?) - my bad for putting them off a bit. The Kip (contribs) 08:59, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@The Kip: No worries. Also, when this new Hockey Mountain rolls out, how are we going to advertise it. Like, are you and I just going to go to the wikiproject's talk page and say "NEW AND IMPROVED HOCKEY PROJECT—WORK ON IT NOW OR ELSE" or are we going to let it be as lax as the current hockey mountain, or are we going to start actually grinding and promoting articles, because I don't think anything is getting done now. XR228 (talk) 16:34, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'd go somewhere in between - I don't think bringing the hammer down and badgering people to participate would quite work, but I agree that there's little progress being made currently. I think the main route should be to canvas/promote on the talk page as well as a handful of user talk pages around the project - definitely personally and positively reach out to the likes of Sbaio, Ravenswing, Conyo, etc. Try to get them energized to build it with us without being rude/implying they're not doing enough as it is. The Kip (contribs) 04:14, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@The Kip: Sure. I do feel like we need to get everyone on what the kids nowadays call a "sigma grindset." I think we should (1. Notify Ravenswing when the revamp is completed, (2. Leave a message on the wikiproject's talk page, and (3. Once enough people (preferably 8–10?) agree to be able to commit 90% or so of their time to Hockey Mountain, create a page where we list which parts go to what people. XR228 (talk) 06:17, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good to me. The Kip (contribs) 08:02, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Vladimir Bure

I saw his passing, but decided not to include it in the deaths for 2024 in ice hockey because he doesn't exactly fit the criteria of WP:NHOCKEY. He fits GNG because of his status as an Olympic swimmer, but would likely not have an article at all otherwise. But, I ain't going to revert it, just kinda wanted to share my hesitant disagreement. Conyo14 (talk) 22:33, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Eh, I feel that for the list deaths it's anyone with an article who had a role in the hockey world - Bure worked for the Devils for over a decade and got his name on the Cup twice, in addition to a few years with Vancouver. If he'd only been connected to hockey by being Pavel and Valeri's dad, I'd agree. The Kip (contribs) 22:38, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Utah and Arizona template

Hello (for like the 8th time) The Kip! I was thinking should we add the 'Yotes to the Utah template? (and vice versa) I know it's not really a relocation, but given how Utah acquired Arizona's assets, should I add the yotes to the utah template and vice versa (i'm only asking you, since you're an experienced editor with new expansion teams and I know we have all those warning signs about how it's not a relocation and all) 45BearsFan (talk) 21:09, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I wouldn't be opposed to adding them to the history tab. The Kip (contribs) 21:14, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks...

...for the thanks for this. But I just wanted to let you know that this wasn't because I'm a nice guy. It's because I've noticed that machine learning research teams tend to build dependencies into their Wiki related projects that rely on the completeness of category graphs to obtain training sets...which is a bold and optimistic assumption on their part for the sock detection projects given that many, many socks appear in the logs but are not categorized. Sean.hoyland (talk) 08:05, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Rivalry?

@The Kip: I feel there is a rivalry that is brewing, greater than that of the Seattle Kraken and the Vegas Golden Knights—a rivalry between you and me. Think about it—we both have our own task forces, we are both constantly grinding featured lists, and we both have pretty much the same goals. But maybe it's just me, idk. Also, don't you find it interesting that after this round of FLs, we're pretty much out of options. I guess you could get your VGK seasons article to FL after next season, but after that, we need to wait for a few decades lol. I will say, in a couple months, after we have made some decent progress in our respective task forces, we will need to halt our work as Hockey Mountain will need to be completed. XR228 (talk) 17:01, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I wouldn't say it's a rivalry so much as a friendly working relationship - we're helping to re-energize the hockey wikiproject after it slowed down for a little while. As for FLs, I think once I'm finished up with the current list, I'll be moving to try to get the VGK good topic nominated, and possible getting VGK to FA when I have time. The Kip (contribs) 21:45, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@The Kip: Sure. But for the VGK/Seattle Kraken GTs, we need all the lists to be FLs; we can't pick and choose which lists there are. Also, @45BearsFan said he would create a Pittsburgh Penguins task force after the start of hockey season. XR228 (talk) 23:08, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@The Kip: Just saw on your nom of List of VGK GMs that you said something about this criterion. Does that just mean I need a peer review for it and it can be good for a GT? I would assume so. XR228 (talk) 23:16, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Seems that way, or at the very least evaluated by the GT reviewer(s). The Kip (contribs) 23:17, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@The Kip: I can go ahead at make a post at WT:HOCKEY asking for volunteers to give detailed peer reviews to our respective lists. XR228 (talk) 23:20, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

task force help

hi the kip! congrats on the triple crown (not trying to sound like an attention seaker or anything but it might've been me who nominated you :) ) but i believe XR told you about this but I plan on making a Penguins (or capitals, but only helping with the hershey bears) but I would like to make one after the nascar season ends, could you tell me the basics to make a task force? thank you! 45BearsFan (talk) 00:35, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@45BearsFan No worries! I effectively started with a duplicate of XR's Kraken task force page and modified it for VGK-related pages. Once you've created the actual page and done the formatting/cleanup bits (creating a shortcut(s), linking it in the various templates/on WP:NHL, etc), you've gotta define a goal and a gameplan of sorts to get there. With the Capitals and Penguins, it'll inherently be a far larger topic in scale, but for reference, if you look at WP:VGK; I've got various lists of articles/lists, with the goal of getting the selected articles/lists (all significant to the team for one reason or another) to GA/FL, and potentially creating some GTs out of them. Hope this helps, and let me know if you need anything else. The Kip (contribs) 05:15, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@45BearsFan Honestly, just copy one of our task forces and change everything to say "Pittsburgh Penguins." And change the articles too of course. XR228 (talk) 03:13, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Logan thompson

Not sure if you noticed but Logan is no longer a part of the Vegas Golden Knights, stop undoing his profile pic like an obsessive ex gf. Thanks Gumbymma (talk) 20:04, 1 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Gumbymma I already explained this in the revert - Wikipedia prioritizes image quality over recency (see Alex Pietrangelo, Ilya Samsonov, Chandler Stephenson, Sergei Bobrovsky, Kevin Fiala, Cole Schwindt, etc - all have more recent available photos, but the current images are high-quality/a better view). From previous reverted edits on both athletes' pages and others, it appears this has been repeatedly demonstrated to you. The VGK image of LT is a clearer view, better-lit, a game image (rather than practice) and in general a better headliner image for the article at the moment - I'd know, given I took and uploaded both photos myself. This is especially prioritized for WP:GAs (of which Thompson's article is one), where quality images is even more important to the composition of the page.
Nice personal attack, by the way. Not exactly the way to go if you want to make your case. The Kip (contribs) 20:20, 1 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The Washington image is actually sharper, good on you for uploading the photos but why do you want it to be an older image so badly? And with the wrong team? There’s clearly nothing wrong with the new one whether it’s at practice or yours being in warmup. The personal attack is only because you seem to be personally attacking my edit lol Just leave it since it’s nearly identical just with the current team? What’s really going on here? Gumbymma (talk) 23:32, 1 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I clearly explained my rationale in the prior comment, which you seem to have disregarded entirely, and you taking offense at that does not justify a personal attack. I’ll go ahead and consult the WP:IH noticeboard, but in the meantime, please stop edit-warring. The Kip (contribs) 23:36, 1 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

2024–25 NL season

can create an article? Thanks Jphwra (talk) 20:45, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Jphwra Euro hockey isn't really my specialty; you're probably better-served posting this at WT:NHL. The Kip (contribs) 21:30, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The NHL made an oopsie with their article on Montgomery's link: They held a 3-0 series lead on the Toronto Maple Leafs the following season, then lost the next three games before prevailing in Game 7. This is false. I don't need to OR on this, there's plenty of evidence on the series being a 3–1 series lead. However, there are instances when a secondary source is placed in. I would understand having both links in, but leaving just NHL link feels like adding misinformation. Conyo14 (talk) 05:38, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Conyo14 No worries. On an unrelated note, Draft:2025 in ice hockey is about ready to go - there’s just a few unaddressed redlinks that should probably be resolved before publishing. The Kip (contribs) 19:27, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Perfect! Just let me know and I'll move it. Conyo14 (talk) 20:30, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
