User talk:A Werewolf
Hi there. I've responded to your post at Talk:Irish American and think the flag you mentioned would definitely merit mention. If you're sufficiently interested in the topic, the article as a whole could also use a lot of work. I'd be happy to assist you.
It's customary to use some form of welcome template, but I'm not sure how new you are and some veteran users apparently consider them annoying. There's a nice one on my talk page if you want to check it out though. ;) Recognizance (talk) 18:28, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
ACW regimental history article flags
I greatly appreciate the work you're doing to put historically appropriate flags in the ACW regimental history articles. It didn't make much sense to have modern flags in the articles. Now I'm wondering if it makes much sense to put any post-ACW flags in the articles. I realize that many states did not have official flags during the war, so it seems as inappropriate to place post-war flags in the infoboxes. So before you continue this great labor, perhaps we should have a discussion about the post-war flags over at the ACW project page. What are your thoughts on the matter? Right now I'm leaning toward removing all flags from the articles. Looking forward to your reply. Spacini (talk) 13:23, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for your thoughts on the ACW regimental history articles' flags. In addition to the points you raised about the variety of flags, consider how often units' flags changed (or may have changed) during service, and given the fact that images of appropriate state flags do not exist in most cases, and given the fact that both the US and CS national flags changed during most regiments' service, it's probably more than a monumental task to select the most appropriate flag image for the infobox for each article. Bottom line: I'm in favor of removing all flag image files from the articles. Spacini (talk) 05:20, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the work you're doing to put historically appropriate flags in the ACW regimental history articles. I do have an issue with the recent change that you made to 30th Arkansas Infantry Regiment. You added a McGowan style battle flag to this unit. I believe you intended this for Turnbull's 25th Arkansas Infantry Regiment. Turnbull's unit was orgionally organized as the 30th Arkansas, but was later redisgnated as the 25th Arkansas Infantry. There is a McGowan Style Battle Flag in the Old State House Museum which belonged to Turbull's regiment when it was captured by the 2nd Ohio Infantry at the Battle of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on December 31, 1862. I have a photo and will try to get it uploaded this week. I don't have a battle flag listed for "the other" 30th Arkansas, but based on what other Trans-Mississippi Infantry Regiments were carring at the time, it was probably either a second nation or a varriation on the Polk pattern battle flag. Imperial Diet
Just a note to welcome your changes at Imperial Diet (Holy Roman Empire). I moved the page a few weeks ago from Reichstag (Holy Roman Empire), where it had been for ages, and I was pleasantly surprised to get no objections to that. However, I did not stop to tidy up the excess of German where not needed. I'm afraid a lot of the HRE articles suffer from the same disease - and I say that as a Germanophile. Do keep up the good work. Moonraker (talk) 04:12, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, indeed. I think the articles on French subjects may be the worst, followed by those to do with the German language. I am also quite bothered by the strong resistance here to any exonyms that aren't everyday ones - Saragossa, say, or Marseilles. Moonraker (talk) 03:34, 5 September 2011 (UTC)
San Francisco meetup at WMF headquarters
Hi A Werewolf,
I just wanted to give you a heads-up about the next wiki-meetup happening in SF. It'll be located at our very own Wikimedia Foundation offices, and we'd love it if some local editors who are new to the meetup scene came and got some free lunch with us :) Please sign up on the meetup page if you're interested in attending, and I hope to see you soon! Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to List of mammals of Mexico may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Disambiguation link notification for May 8
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Little people (mythology), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Catawba (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

About the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal Userbox
Hey. You created the above mentioned userbox. Well that specific party does not exist anymore, so I think the userbox should be deleted. I tried requesting a speedy deletion but they said the userbox cannot be deleted unless you request it yourself. So can you? Since the userbox does not serve a purpose anymore... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 39.44.188.148 (talk) 12:05, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

No, I don't think you understand. I can't request the deletion. You have to request it. --39.44.188.148 (talk) 15:18, 22 January 2016 (UTC)

Always cite reliable published sources
Hello, I'm Worldbruce. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Equipment of the Bangladesh Army, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. --Worldbruce (talk) 18:20, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
