Verses

Shouldn't the verses be in WikiSource? Or we give an external links to the ballads? I don't think the full song is appropriate. (specific verses may be necessary for explicating points, but not the whole song.) Goldfritha 15:07, 1 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ideally it should be moved to WikiSource. Notjim 18:45, 1 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I really don't see any problem with it here. It's reasonably short. We do the same thing (consistently, I believe) on national anthems. - Jmabel | Talk 07:39, 8 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Shortness is not a criterion for suitability. The anthems probably should be, too. Goldfritha 22:16, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
So you are saying that roughly 100% of our articles on national anthems don't form a de facto standard even for articles on national anthems? Sounds quixotic to me. - Jmabel | Talk 22:27, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Conversely, this is developing a lot of variants of no particular notability. I'd like to strip this back to the two or three most diverse versions we can find, and move the rest to Wikisource. - Jmabel | Talk 02:21, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikisource has variants. I am removing the verses. Goldfritha 02:47, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
