Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Morrisons. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

New branding

It appears, judging by this image File:Morrisons, Woodhouse Lane, Leeds (14th November 2015) 002.JPG that the company have introduced an updated logo. However it doesn't appear on the company website or on to my knowledge any other branches. Can anyone clarify this? Mtaylor848 (talk) 16:16, 15 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Well well... the new-style branding has just appeared today on the receipts at Morrisons Inverurie. The rest of the store looks the same, but a friend who works there has been talking of a new uniform to come soon. Regrettably it looks like they've stayed with green as a corporate colour. Makes them all look like veterinary nurses if you ask me lol. Poglad (talk) 12:36, 21 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Added the new logo - This was official launched this week - All UK TV Commercials carry the new logo, in addition the logo on their own website has changed to reflect this change. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.148.255.145 (talk) 09:49, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Formatting of company name

Re the recent edits from Lordtobi, ignore the peculiar formatting in all caps at https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/00358949. If you follow the links on from there, such as the various PDFs linked from https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/00358949/filing-history, you'll see that it's "Wm", not "WM", and there aren't spaces between the letters of plc. --David Biddulph (talk) 13:32, 18 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The WM capitlazion was my fault, apologies. But the very minor and actually pretty unimportant last part of the name, "plc", shall be the focus of this discussion.
First off, the name as given on the citation given, "WM MORRISON SUPERMARKETS P L C", is the official way the company is currently registered under the laws of the United Kingdom, regardless of how the legal assignee presents it in handed-in court documents. However, it appears that the earliest documents of the renamed company (page 51, 1981-11-12 x2) give the name as "WM. MORRISON SUPERMARKETS P.L.C." (P.L.C. was actually the common way-of-print for the company type around that time) instead.
Their own website also doesn't do straight, at first glance, I can find: "Morrisons Ltd" (on the mainpage, though obviously wrong), "Wm Morrison Supermarkets plc" (the one currently in place, tough just found twice on their site), "Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc" (appears in official documents a lot; it also says here "Our full legal name is Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc."), "Wm Morrison Supermarkets PLC" (also in many press docs). Since you have a longer history with this page, I'll leave you to decide which is the best to use here (I usually prefer as is given in state databases). Shops or stores

There has been a edit-war going on, with various IPs and also user Uk_english repeatedly doing a global replace of the word "stores" with the word "shops". I don't necessarily feel strongly one way or the other about the choice of word, but many of the sources use "stores" and it would be sensible to get agreement here on the talk page for any change. What is more significant is that the global edit has been breaking a number of links where the url includes the word "stores", and also falsified quite a number of reference titles which include the word "stores". The editor concerned was warned at User talk:185.200.116.203, as well as the problem having been pointed out previously by a number of editors. As the editor has popped up with yet another IP address to break the refs & falsify titles, the article is currently semi-protected. --David Biddulph (talk) 08:20, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A similar change to ref titles occurred at Sainsbury's. Keith D (talk) 13:05, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Andrew Skelton

This former employee was jailed in 2015 after leaking personal data of 100,000 colleagues in revenge on Morrison's who accused him of drug dealing at work, shouldn't this get a mention here? Crawiki (talk) 14:07, 9 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not without any reliable sources to support it. Keith D (talk) 17:23, 9 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Non UK stores / Morrisons Daily

Though Morrisons operates mainly in the UK, there are now also Morrisons Daily stores in Guernsey and Jersey. I think they're franchises, but the article should be updated to reflect this. MikeJamesShaw (talk) 13:45, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Store Formats

Along with the above there is a new clothing only shop.[1] 79.72.33.59 (talk) 09:24, 7 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
