The Original Barnstar
For all the work you do on various music pages and for blitzing those reds. INXS-Girl 18:17, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I have a bit of a problem with this article. A newly created user acount is changing the article claiming it was a misrepresentation and "zionist propaganda". I'd like someone else to look at the article. In my opinion it's just someone wanting to remove any criticism from this page. However as the topic is indeed controversial I'm not sure. Thanks, 1redrun Talk 09:44, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi WebHamster

Glycine Airman has been deleted because it's a company advertising? I'm writing history ! These are models from the past which together make an interesting story..

Help me please

Hello WebHamster, I don't think this should be deleted. Carlo Dellonte is a published writer and hence has a growing number of fans. Please, since this is my first article contribution to wiki, let me know what i should do to prevent articles from being deleted. thank you --Nvasi 02:13, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

You, my good friend, are a fuckin asshole. Firstly, you put a totally stupid reason for banning it the first time, and then won't listen to a word I fuckin say to you. Stubborn fuckin asshole. Go die. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shattering-Zaishi (talkcontribs)

Thursday's Fictions

Please do not delete the Thursday's Fictions web page. I have attempted to write an stub that was brief, neutral, verifiable. It is not blatant adversiting, it is discussing an internationally significant and noteworthy example of the development of the arts in a cross media age. The stub is based on numerous reliable sources and publications - some of which I have mentioned in my Talk:Thursday's Fictions note. Please remove the speedy deletion tag. With thanks Mediateyes 23:10, 18 August 2007 (UTC)Mediateyes.

Bulgarian Organised Crime

Just look at the articles I put in external links of Security Insurance Company.I'm going to put more if you want to understand that it really is one of the most powerfull crime organisations in South-Eastern Europe. And Mladen "Madzho" Mihalev is it's boss and a multimillionare look at the article in external links.

Mo Foster

I note you are webmaster for the above but please do not revert the recategorisation of the article. WP protocol is to categorize articles at the most accurate level. (see WP:MUSCAT).The other categories you undeleted are in any case subsumed in the categories that are left. The recategorisation does not cut Mr. Foster out from anything. All other entries in Category:English musicians are being recategorised in the same way.--Smerus 11:47, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Requesting your assistance

Hello. I've seen some of the good work you've done in cleaning "the lists" I have commmended INXS-Girl for all of her contributions and I apologise for not extending those kudos your way as well. INXS_Girl is taking a badly needed Wiki-break(this place gets to everyone). She told me she would be back in a couple of weeks. In the meantime I am requesting your assistance on a couple of other "lists" Both the List of banjo players and List of hammered dulcimer players articles were strewn with nn links and both were in poor shape and not a trustworthy resource. I had started, with INXS-Girl's help on cleaning up the banjo list. I had just moved on to the dulcimer list. But both were met with resistance from an editor who did not see how keeping the lists in bad shape was actually a "bad" thing and leaned toward being an "inclusionist". Many a bad quality article remains on WIki at the hands of inclusionists. This editor was simply editing from the heart and not the head... he is a very good editor he just disagreed with the process which is in place for most other musician lists. If you have the time could you add those 2 lists to your watchlist and help to keep things clean until INXS_Girl returns from her break and we can get back to making quality articles out of those currently "not very good" pages. Thanks. 156.34.209.136 10:59, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

If you have time comment there is more conversation about including non-articled players into the banjo list. Thanks. 156.34.142.110 17:31, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

A reminder about AfD tags

One thing to remember... just because you remove the AfD link... doesn't mean the AfD vote ends. The vote is still going on. And, with the link to find it gone... no regular editors will know about it and be able to respond to it. So the article could be deleted anyway simply because you removed the tag. Right now the vote is 3 - 3. Your choice. 142.167.83.144 16:54, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

PS The list of Rhythm guitarists is up for AfD to and needs vote in order to stick around. right now it's losing 2 - 3 in favour of delete. You may want to contact other regular guitar list editors. I cannot vote I am an anon. And if I create an account now just to vote... it will be a foul vote. Good luck. 142.167.83.144 16:59, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Bel Assis, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Eureka Video

No it is not advertising, its explaining to the users what the company does and what material the company releases. You could throw your floppy point at anything; an article on a writer will mention his work, hence that too could be classified as advertising, is it? No. Its simply useful and relevant information, just like the Eureka article. Hence I will remove your pointless tagging.

What makes you are sure about the a Person's biography to be deleted ?

Is this is a random task on which you are working to assign the new articles, pages..etc to submit for Speedy deletion ? I myself donot understand, what boosted u to refer the page to speedy deletion. The Gundu Rajasekhar page is just under construction & its been already too late for me, which led me stopping it then & there. So the real content of the biography will be published on the next visits of mine other users who are well aware of him. --Raj808 23:36, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Speedy Deletion of Michael Pelster

Hi! I noticed you put a speedy deletion tag on Michael Pelster. This article was previously listed for speedy, hangon'd by the creator, and deleted at 23:07 today by User:Kubigula log here. It was recreated 30 minutes later by the original author - I noticed because I was in a discussion on the talk page with him/her over non-notability. I think this may now need to go to WP:AFD? --kateshortforbob 23:44, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Deletion

The article I submitted for 4 Wheel Drive & Sport Utility Magazine has been deleted. The original inspiration was to link it to the Primedia article. Other magazines on that page have been linked, so I tried to match their styles as much as possible. Is there any chance I can submit it again and it won't be deleted? This is very time-consuming, so I'd like to avoid wasting my time. TrisM 21:42, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Speedy Deletion of Prints (band)

Hi there,

I'm in the process of compiling more information on the band and further updating the article. I believe they deserve a stub as they are relevant to todays music scene and are on a prominent indie rock label. Barleycorn 00:59, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

db-club of Pomo Afro Homos

I tagged the brand-new article with {{underconstruction}} to indicate that the article was being updated. The original text came from an AFC request from last year, Wikipedia:Articles_for_creation/2006-03-21. By convention, the first version of AFC articles should closely match the submission. This helps with GFDL compliance. Another editor has removed the {{db-club}} tag. Please don't be so hasty in adding this tag in the future. It's not unusual for an AFC submission to take a day or so to mature. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 01:49, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I feel that it is unfair to have the article deleted especially this early, perhaps, you (or someone else) could find someone else to expand the article. Let me know how you feel about that when you get a chance. --bobsmith319 02:06, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Kemlo

Im trying to add another new article for E. C. Eliot's character "Tas", the same as I have done for Kemlo. However I cant work out how to do this, as there are multiple TAS links. What do I do.

thanks

I'm not WebHamster, I'm just someone who happens to have this page on my watch list for some odd reason. Anyways, unless the book series itself is award-winning or otherwise notable, it's probably best to put it in the author's article. If the series is notable, create an article under the name of the most prominent book, the first book, or the common name of the series. If nothing else, call it Tas (books), Tas (book series), or Tas (E. C. Elliott) or something similar. Then add that to the disambiguation page Tas. For the character in the book, use Tas (character). Keep notability in mind here. Not every work or series by famous authors deserves its own article. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 20:21, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Eric Grossman

Thanks for notifying me about the {{db-bio}} tag on Eric Grossman, but can I please advise you that I just created the article within the last ten minutes??? Please give folks time to expand things before jumping on them, thanks. If you are doing New Page Patrol, I recommend working on articles that were created 48 hours ago. --Elonka 19:05, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

I do appreciate what you're doing with New Page Patrol. It's a useful function, I've done it myself, and I know we clean up a lot of garbage.  :) And I do agree that it's useful to scan "immediately-created" pages, because many of them do indeed need rapid deletion. In the case of Grossman though, I feel that a db-bio tag was not appropriate, since even with a stub, there was a clear case of notability (gold/platinum records), which to my knowledge clearly passes WP:MUSIC. Then again, I understand how a page-patroller can get into a delete-delete-delete mindset, and it's possible to accidentally stomp on good faith contributions. I guess all I'm saying is, please be a bit more careful in the future? Thanks, Elonka 19:22, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Gateway City Supporters

Really, five minutes after the article is created, you're tagging it for deletion? What is your hurry? Especially since I fully inted to expand and improve the article, I guess I didn't realize I was being timed though. These Ain't Loose Card in Ales Pitcher/Catcher 21:49, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Rachael Cantu

I have just spent an hour creating a well-referenced article on a successful and well-respected independent singer songwriter and within five minutes of its publication you've whacked a proposed deletion tag on it with no explanation. You couldn't possibly have had time to read all the cited references. Behaviour like this is really little better than vandalism. This is the sort of thing that has discouraged me from contributing anything to Wikipedia. It is very difficult to see at this point why anyone should bother writing articles for Wikipedia when it is irresponsibly and destructively over-policed in this manner. Rubywine 21:53, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Had you actually read the cited press reports and reviews you would have seen that the artist's debut album was well received by a range of music critics, and was successful in the independent album charts. Rachael Cantu has also collaborated with Tegan Quin of Tegan and Sara - and she was referenced in the Tegan and Sara article. If their name means nothing to you, then you know nothing about indie music, and you are not qualified to judge notability. I can't believe I'm having to waste all this time explaining this after having written a perfectly clear and well-referenced article STUB!! If you still need to refer your completely outrageous "decision" to independent arbitration then yes, do so. Rubywine 22:18, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Abuse of WP deletion process

Here are the WP guidelines on notability in music : WP:MUSIC. The article on Rachael Cantu clearly and comfortably met the required criteria before you tagged it for deletion. You made no attempt whatsoever to justify "lack of notability" within the stated criteria, either at the time of tagging, or during the AfD - you merely asserted your personal opinion of what constitutes notability. The AfD discussion to date shows unanimous agreement that the nomination for deletion was unfounded. Unless you can demonstrate an ability to read and apply WP deletion policy, then you should cease all attempts to police the addition of new articles. Warning: if you continue to attempt to destroy genuine content, then you will become the subject of complaint. Rubywine 14:57, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Second warning: WebHamster, there is abundant evidence on this page that you are in the habit of hastily and recklessly tagging articles for deletion, in breach of WP guidelines on patrolling new pages (Wikipedia:New_pages_patrol) - viz : "Tagging anything other than attack pages or complete nonsense a minute after creation is not constructive and only serves to annoy the page author." and "What exactly qualifies as encyclopedic is debatable... so it's best to err on the side of caution and not delete or nominate for deletion too hastily." I do not believe that you are acting in good faith. If you persist in tagging newly created pages for deletion without clear justification then I will report you for persistent vandalism, viz Abuse of tags (Wikipedia:Vandalism). Rubywine 23:29, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

I am not making threats. I am following WP guidelines on how to deal with persistent vandalism, which clearly state that warnings must be given to the offender. Cut out the cocky remarks, and show some respect for others using this site. Rubywine 00:29, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

I will take matters further if, and only if, you persist in abusing deletion tags. If necessary, I will issue one further warning before taking the drastic step of reporting your behaviour. My sole motivation here is to prevent you from driving contributors away, and recklessly deleting genuine content. I strongly advise you to carefully read and absorb the guidelines on Vandalism (#Abuse of Tags) and Patrolling New Pages. Rubywine 00:49, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Resorting to obscene language on my Talk page is not going to advance your situation. I am following the correct WP procedure. Grow up and do the same, and you will avoid causing yourself any further embarrassment. Rubywine 01:08, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Beddau RFC Speedy Deletion request

How do I gain notability? The rugby club exists, it's recognised by an international body. It finished 1st in the second tier of Welsh Rugby last season. I placed a reason for justification but you did not reply. Could you clarify, give me some pointers or not place for deletion.--FruitMonkey 13:02, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

I have started to input pages for as many Welsh WRU affiliated clubs as humanly possible and so far you are the only requester for deletion. I have investigated other lesser leagues (such as the FA low tier leagues, as low as level 20 in places) and have found no corresponding requirement for deletion. The Welsh league is a cultural tent peg in the history of Wales and the affiliated clubs who have connections in such bizzare manners as war, aircraft disasters, politics and the such need their place in the world. I think if this was a link to Aztec ball games and their history no one would request their deletion; but as Welsh sports (lets face it THE Welsh sport) we are almost apologetic in its importance. By investigating the history of the sport I have found there are so many gaps created by the people that thought their own clubs were unimportant that they discarded their own history; and now cry for evidence. We need to make this a viable Wikipedia category so we have an anchor in history, because believe me the people who care have no organised movement to store this information; and that includes the WRU. It's reliable, you know that, and as the first person who appears to care about reflect all clubs and not just 'their' club and their wacky drinking songs, I'm sure you know it makes sense. Before I started this page WRU National Leagues had only three leagues and apart from the Premier League were all red. Please remove the deletion, I will expand them all in time. Save the lower leagues, Save the world. Let me complete this. Thanks.--FruitMonkey 22:38, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
My page is still up for deletion. Would you please relate to my above comment or remove the deletion. It would be appreciated one way or the other. I am really trying creating a history that needs to be told.--FruitMonkey 22:58, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

Improper CSD tagging

Tagging article for speedy deletion is an important activity but it needs to be done carefully and with the exercise of discrimination. In addition to the article we talked about yesterday, I see two more obviously improper A7 taggings in the past few minutes. If one good article is deleted because you tagged 20 and 19 were correct, the costs outweigh the benefits of your doing newpages patrol at all. Please slow down, read what CSD A7 covers and read the article before tagging them.--Fuhghettaboutit 12:48, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

NBTV

For the record, I've been a Wikipedia administrator for almost four years now; I hardly need to have the notability guidelines explained to me. What I'm trying to do is to stop a spammer who keeps adding his web URL to narrow bandwidth television on the basis that the acronym NBTV is a redirect there; he also continually adds it to North Bay, Ontario with a false VHF channel number, invariably choosing either Channel 1 or Channel 2 so that it appears as the first entry in the list of the city's real television stations. Reverting him is getting quite tiresome, so I'm just trying to make him go away in the hopes that the page can be deleted again once he's stopped his spam tactics. Believe it or not, I do know exactly what I'm doing. Bearcat 00:56, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

I recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on Matt Kennard. Bishop Noll Prep Academy

I was wondering why you deleted the article mentioned above. I was only trying to create an article for my middle school, which is really making the news in my area for being really high tech (each student is issued a Toshiba Portege Tablet PC with Microsoft Student installed). I was interviewed twice so far, and school only started on August 17th (2007), very recently. What made you think that it was about a group, person, etc.? I think it's just because you've never heard of it. Well, you can go here: Prep Academy Article. The article wasn't too detailed because I was in my Advisory Period at the time. Don't you think that people in my area would want to learn more about this school, thus looking it up here? Now, they will find nothing! Could you please restore it somehow, if possibl, or if not possible, then will you give me permission to re-post my article? Thank you for your time and patience to read this. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Metroidpal45 (talkcontribs) 23:04, August 23, 2007 (UTC).

Adventist Students Association

It seems that you have prematurely deleted an article that I started about the Adventist Students Association. This organisation is part of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The Adventist church and its supporting ministries have very high quality articles in Wikipedia, and it is an omission to have no article about the Adventist Students Association. Of course, the article as it was when you deleted it was only a few seconds old - I was just adding a stub classification to it when you deleted it. I feel that it is unreasonable for you to delete this article before it has had a chance to demonstrate its notability and relevance to other Wikipedia articles in its category. I am going to recreate it and class it as a stub - that way it is obvious that it needs to grow to be useful. Latch.r 23:57, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

I understand. How would I demonstrate the notability of the Adventist Students Association article? Yes, I've read the notability guidelines. Latch.r 00:23, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

We may disagree on the above, but seriously - someone wrote WP:PORNBIO? Only on Wikipedia...! Giles Bennett (Talk, Contribs) 20:16, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

Looks like you won that one anyway - although in retrospect and with the benefit of having read WP:PORNBIO (great reading!) I probably agree with you. I suppose you could say that extras in a porno movie just have a "w*nk on" part? Giles Bennett (Talk, Contribs) 20:36, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

I'm not sure how you could possibly have determined this entry is deletable just 2 minutes after I posted it. As one of a handful of female CEOs of publicly traded tech companies, I disagree vehemently that this entry should be deleted. Thanks for your attention to the article Silentwulf. However, please remember not to bite the newbies. The comment about blocking could have been a little intimidating to a new user. Cheers! --Ginkgo100talk 02:59, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

I've added a citation at Maha Yuga

Yuga is infact a unit of measurement, the four Yugas sum up to form 1 Maha Yuga. I've requested for an article merger at Yugas. BalanceΩrestored Talk 12:09, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

Simple question

You used {{#if:1|==[[:Enjoy Japan]]==}} instead of ==[[Enjoy Japan]]== in my talk page. What #if:1 means? --Masoris 14:37, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

Your recent edits

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 16:13, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

Ahhhh, you know I never would have known that to redirect it to Doc Cox LOL. But the way the editor wrote it was certainly not that helpful, and almost seemed like a "joke" to me. Thanks for taking care of it! ArielGold 13:29, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

Can see you a busy WebHamster... I have contested the marking of this as SPAM, could you please look at the page again and expedite your decision. Either remove it or leave it. I can see its a hard call to make when something is very new, if it goes I'll take that as wikepedia only recognizing older technologies, or not being able to understand what they where looking at. ... was so innovative, wikepedia wouldnt print it ;) Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnny Kewl (talkcontribs) 15:52, August 26, 2007 (UTC)

This article needs some work...

First, I closed all the AfDs on the individual members as redirects becausse they were ridiculously short, unreferenced articles. The content from those articles should be merged into this main article.

Second, if you're familiar with WP:V, it's important to attribute any claims in the article to an external source in order to meet the attribution requirements of the encyclopedia. Claims like "They are considered by many to be the UK's leading interpreters of the music of Jimi Hendrix and ZZ Top" need to be properly attributed or they're original research. Additionally, it would greatly help if there were obvious links to media attention that would readily satisfy WP:MUSIC. — Scientizzle 19:12, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

I have to concur with User:Scientizzle regardless of other issues around these articles/AFDs, given the current state of those articles, a redirect is the correct option at this point.--Isotope23 talk 19:14, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
[ec]:As for the redirects, that was my admin close of the AfDs. It's what I would have done (with a complete content merge) had I radonmly stumbled across the articles. There's no reason to have a 1 sentence "article" when the info belongs on one page. no info is lost if it's all consolidated. — Scientizzle 19:15, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
As you can see now, the merge is complete. It's completely proper (and common practice) to merge subjects into a main article when independent hasn't been strongly established and/or when the subject matter is not treated with encyclopedic detail in content depth or sources. No information has been lost. If the info on the individual band members grows, or if the band's article expands greatly, subarticles may be appropriate. Right now, not so much. — Scientizzle 19:27, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
Apology accepted. I could have been a little less abrupt myself, I'm sure... We're working on the same side here--we both want good articles about notable topics. 2.3 seconds on Google was enough to convince me that The Hamsters are such a topic; the merge concentrates the current information and needn't be permanent (i.e., if the main article expands significantly).
As for the OR tag, all it needs is a link to the guy's website or something (almost anything, really) to indicate that it's attriubtable to someone beyond any ol' Wikipedia editor (steer away from forums and blogs and such, if you can, though...the more reliable, the better). The other tags can be treated similarly. I like to use the footnote capabilities for referencing in-line. Finally, any link to media stories about these guys is a plus, as are references from old-fashioned print media. — Scientizzle 21:18, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
I like how it's shaping up. Keep up the good work! — Scientizzle 23:57, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

I've declined speedy on this one and listed on AFD instead. It claims a notable architect which is an assertion of notability, but still doesn't seem to meet WP:N. Just not a speedy candidate. Cheers Carlossuarez46 20:05, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

I have improved the article, and marked its categories. which shows its notability. No more candidate for deletion. Communicate in case of any query. Thanks Tahirakram 15:33, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

  • I have added some thired party refrences and external link to make it notable. There is a refrence of a magzine which rank this company in top 10 for year 2007. thanks.

Speedy Deletion Inappropriate

Speedy deletion stubs are innapopropriate for a stub which is referenced to a Reuters article. He is a very famous figure, has been on the TV and print news several times in the past couple days, and likely will be in the future considering what he did, especially in the SF Bay area. Brentt 08:57, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

I'm not confusing fame with notability. He is notable, and worldwide since BM is a festival with participants all over the world. A deletion may be in order, but not a speedy deletion, since notabilty is contested. It wasn't just local newspapers. But regardless, a speedy deletion was not in order, a regular deletion request is more appropriate. Brentt 09:09, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Scott Tallon Walker

Speedy was inappropriate here as well--the article asserted receipt of a major award, and also the completion of major architectural projects. Either of them is quite sufficient to avoid speedy as A7. Please re-read WP:CSD --I see i am not the only administrator here who has been declining some of your speedies. Speedy is only for articles which show no good-fatith claim to importance at all--and there are plenty of them. Articles where you think the claim is insufficient are for PROD or AFD. Congress

Information taken from any page of the website of the United States Congress is considered public domain. Please do not tag page of Congressman Hughes. Mr. Vitale 18:04, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Quit posting the copyright violation info on my page. Instead, take the two seconds time to research the source of the information, so that you can see that it is public domain.Mr. Vitale 18:14, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
Nearly all works of the US federal government (but not state/local) are under public domain, except for logos and items that were not originally created by the gov't but are now under their property (such as things donated to the Library of Congress). This template applies to this info.
Read this [2] for confirmation of public domain. Mr. Vitale 18:23, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
1)Don't threaten me with allegations of vandalism. 2) That template wasn't meant for the article, a different one specifically created for the Bioguide was created for such articles. (I've place it there now). That template was just meant to show you under which rules it fell into the public domain. 3) I'll manage my talk page the way I see fit. Mr. Vitale 18:23, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
You said that removing tags makes me a vandal. While, yes, it is not considered to be in good practice, it is far from the kinds of things that are truely vandalism. But this is not a controverisal issue here. I'm not removing the tag from a page who's copyright status is really debatable. The status of Congressional websites as public domain isn't questionable, it's affirmed. I recently was in another debate like this about my using information from the Bioguide for the article of Daniel Garrison. As you can see, that page still stands, and, other editors upheld the status of Congressional info as public domain. This isn't one of those things where Wikipedians are guessing. It's just a fact. —Preceding unsigned comment added by VitaleBaby (talkcontribs) 18:33, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Easy there...I'm hardly second-guessing all your edits on that page. It just happens to still be watchlisted and I've appreciated the work you've put into the article.

Referring to WP:BLP in an article may be "humorous", but it'll only be confusing to most readers. Linking from regular articles to project space pages is generally inappropriate, and there's no solid justification for doing so beyond an inside joke. That's all. — Scientizzle 01:13, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Tagging

Please don't tag my article about a web site just because you personally haven't heard of it. It would be better with a healthy debate on the article's talk page, to reach a concensus. It's not up to you to decide whether it's notable enough. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Flexxx (talkcontribs) 14:02, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Paul Addis deletion

Please provide links to that discussion of this page's previous deletion as I was not party to it. This is a newsworthy item and centered on interesting themes.

I don't know what standards it may not meet. But I don't think it bodes to delete all content and existence of its discussion here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Natevoodoo (talkcontribs) 16:50, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Do what you like. I am not a friend of Addis' nor do I care how his career moves. I just found information that I found interesting and thought it had a place here. My feelings on the matter are definitely less strong than Hamster. And I don't want to be known for this. It's just an interesting and notable story to both me and many news sources. Your judgement may differ. I wish you could actually debate your point of view. Saying that you have a neutral point of view shows a misunderstanding of the concept and the content on NPOV page. The concept is that pages should be written with a neutral point of view, which my single sentence is written in. It just states the act of arson he was accused of. It does not mean that those who live farther away from a notable person/event are more neutral. In fact that page clearly states that everyone has bias. Everyone. Your bias appears to be that you don't like him and don't want him to get attention. That ain't neutral so read it again. The fact that I've heard of Addis does not create any inherent conflict that I'm aware of, I've simply noted him. The use of straw man is a clever allusion to burning man but it doesn't actually apply to what I did either. I did not misrepresent your point of view that you dislike Paul Addis. You admit to this. You reinforce my point by stating that unlikable people are noted throughout wikipedia. But unless you had a personal hand in keeping those pages in place, you are not refuting my point that your motivation for deleting this page has something to do with your dislike for Paul Addis. You are biased, get used to it.

Some have made good and unspiteful arguments for what the current page is lacking in proving the WP:BIO standards have been met. I'd rather spend my time improving the page then responding to Hammie anymore. When you're done being clever you can consider this a lesson in rhetoric and reading comprehension.

Bassmint Music

WebHamster how's it going? Please work with me to properly display the notable aspects of Bassmint Music Inc. It is its own entity. I am compiling a lists of the labels artists to posts to the article. Also, it should be Categorized and listed along with the other record labels and independent record labels listed on Wikipedia. Hi – It turns out that this article went through AFD last year, and it's been recreated six times since December 2006. I didn't look closely enough at the page history, so I didn't see the tiny little "view or restore 48 deleted edits?" in the corner that admins can see when viewing a history. [It's teeny tiny, give me a break. :-)] I deleted his article under WP:CSD#G4 as recreation of deleted material, and this time he got a little salt with his delete meal. He also created a page for Colored Black, one of his supposed 'films', and it went the way of WP:CSD#A7 before the smoke cleared from the first one.

The guy has used four different usernames and two IP addresses to have his little fun. Since we can't watchlist user contributions, I made a page in my userspace to track things like this at User:KrakatoaKatie/Watching. I've been meaning to make such a page and this gave me the opportunity. Just thought I'd let you know – if you see that Colored Black article again, let me know and I'll swat it. ;-) - KrakatoaKatie 00:12, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

Getting my page in order.

I rewrote much of the page and hopefully it is encyclopedic and demonstrates notability.

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Simon tint.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Spike Wilbury talk 22:01, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
