I have edited the category entry; someone looking for his name would not look under "Hasan", but under "Mehdi Hasan".

Also, I doubt he spells his name "Hassan". We need to move this article.iFaqeer (Talk to me!) 19:59, May 2, 2005 (UTC)

redirect

Hi, A new page Mehdi Hasan has been created, which redirects to this page. Though it solves the problem of searching the page, we still need to figure out what is the correct spelling.

Mehdi Hassan text editor

Mehdi Hassan is Shehansha-e-Ghazal and he has ruled Pakistan film music with legends like Ahmed Rushdi and Masood Rana. This text editor must not remove this information about Khan sahab.I highly appreciate if text editor abstain from doing so.

File:Mehdi Hassan.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

An image used in this article, File:Mehdi Hassan.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

Singing style

The whole section is copied word for word from this The Nation article:

Would anyone help with a rewrite? Thanks.

I have reverted to the version prior to the copyright violation and warned the editor. - SummerPhD (talk) 00:13, 11 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Why remove the expansion of lead section with all the relevant WP:RS? Fideliosr (talk) 00:51, 11 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
In addition to the copyright violation noted above, I found two more direct copy-pastes from the sources cited before I stopped checking. As removing the violations was not a reasonable option, I have restored the pre-violation version, per WP:DCV. Feel free to use the sources cited in the version with numerous copyright violations. Please do not, however, restore the violations. - SummerPhD (talk) 01:26, 11 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
