The LR 300ML is an assault rifle akin to the M-16 or AR-15. The rifle is touted as an 'excellent entry weapon system' indicating that this version is available for military usage. A feature of this rifle is it's 'diverted felt recoil' which helps prevent muzzle rise common to most other assault rifles. LR 300MLs have flat top receivers which means that it accomodates all types of Weaver mounts and multiple scopes and sights. The trigger, as well as the charging handle, magazine button, and hold open device etc., are the same as the M-16 and AR-15 rifles. The grip angle of the rifle is the same as the 1911 Pistol Grip which is said to create a far more controlled fire. LR 300MLs fire .223 (5.56 NATO) rounds in semi-automatic or select fire modes and accepts all M-16/AR-15 clips. The barrel is 11.5" long with a Phantom flash suppressor. Length of the rifle is 21.5" folded and 31.0" unfolded. It weighs 7.0lbs with a rate of fire numbered at 950 rounds per minute on the select fire mode. Effective range of the LR 300ML is 300+ meters.
