Razia Sultan is a historical drama serial which aired from Monday to Friday evenings on &TV[1] from 6 March 2015. The main role of empress Razia Sultana is played by Pankhuri Awasthy. The serial is about Razia Sultan (Sultan Razia), the only female ruler of the Delhi Sultanate. It talks about a young lady and her dilemmas with everyday life. The serial was introduced by Shah Rukh Khan as Sutradhar.[2]
Plot
The show focuses on the life of Razia Sultan. She was made the ruler by Sultan Iltutmish himself. In spite of having many sons, he felt that Razia would make a more capable ruler. The show later focuses on 13th century India and Razia's struggles and dilemmas as a Sultan, and as a woman in daily life.

Broadcast
In Indonesia, the drama premiered on 8 June 2015 dubbed into Indonesian on MNCTV.[5] In Thailand, the drama airs on Zee Nung.[6] Razia Sultan also airs in Pakistan on Geo Kahani. The drama premiered on Malaysian television through TV3 on 31 August 2016 and two episodes is shown per day. It is TV3's first Hindi drama.
In Africa and Mauritius, the show is aired on Zee TV Africa/Mauritius.
In Germany, it is aired on Zee.One.
