Tyrone DuBose (born May 4, 1960 in Cincinnati, Ohio) is an American radio personality, actor, voice artist, and television contributor. He is a daily contributor on The Sheryl Underwood Radio Show,[1] and show contributor on the hour-long music documentary program, UNSUNG, that airs on TV One.

Early life

DuBose was born in Cincinnati Ohio in 1960. He went to Hughes High School, where he received a ninth grade education. As a teenager, American Top 40 with Casey Kasem inspired DuBose to pursue a career in radio.

Career

DuBose is a five-time R&B Historian Winner including The Black Music Awards, and received a lifetime achievement award from UVIEW Media Group in Los Angeles California[2]. Today he hosts the countdown program, Timeless Traxx, contributes on TV One's program, UNSUNG, and on the Sheryl Underwood Radio Show.

DuBose' television career began on public access in Gardena, California in 1985. His show called The Tyrone DuBose Show was based on interviews, serious topics, and everyday life. The talk show ended in 2001. DuBose starred in movies such as The God Complex, Color Blinded, Rectuma, and A Polish Vampire in Burbank.{

DuBose' radio career began in 2003 at KHWY–FM in Barstow, California. He developed the idea for Timeless Traxx[3]. On Timeless Traxx, DuBose counts down the top R&B songs in America according to the National R&B Charts. It includes six decades of artists in one show based on their peak position. The show is syndicated to radio and internet stations throughout the country.

DuBose delivered the announcements for many events, phone auto-attendant for Fortune 500 companies and voiceovers for many national commercials[which?]. DuBose created a youtube show, Do You Know, a history trivia about R&B music.

DuBose' acting career became established in 2016 with Ferguson, Beautiful Poison, and Church Secrets. In 2017, Can Gods Love, Demons in the Midst and Beautiful Poison 2. In 2018, Can Gods Love 2, Get Out of Your Own Way, and in 2019, Meet me in the Prayer Room and Back Down Memory Lane.

In 2017, DuBose joined the Sheryl Underwood radio program as a daily contributor on America’s R&B Historian, with a segment called “A 60 Second moment in music history.” DuBose gives trivia, history, and chart information on musical artists from six different decades. Dubose contributes to iHeart's radio Program, “This Day in Quiztory”,[4] a daily lesson on radio about the history of prominent African Americans.

Higher education

In 2013, Dubose obtained his High School diploma.
