Stephen Ng'ethe Njoroge was a Kenyan diplomat.
- He was the father of Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello and the ex-husband of Parents for Rock and Rap founder Mary Morello. Njoroge was a Mau Mau guerrilla. His uncle, Jomo Kenyatta, was the first elected president in Kenya.[1]
Career
- In 1964, 1965 and 1966 he was member of the Kenyan Delegation to the United Nations General Assembly.
- From 1963 to 1964 he was assistant secretary, Ministry of Lands and Settlements.
- In 1964 he was senior assistant secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, delegate to the Organisation of African Unity and member of the Delegation to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
- From 1964 to 1967 he was head of the Africa and Middle East Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nairobi.
- From 1968 to 1970 he was counselor of the Kenyan Embassy in Bonn.
- From 1970 ton 1978 he was Kenyan High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
- In 1974 he was concurrently accredited as Ambassador in Rome and Bern.[2]
