Rename Aylesbury Town?

At London, they now call this station Aylesbury Town (to distinguish from P'way). Should this be included? Btline (talk) 21:13, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Only if that's the name shown on station signs and timetables --Redrose64 (talk) 18:34, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Last time I travelled by train from Aylesbury it was still just Aylesbury. And that was after Parkway opened. -- roleplayer 18:59, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ownership

The ownership of Aylesbury station changed several times prior to Nationalisation. I want to fill in two fields in the infobox, viz. |pregroup= and |postgroup=. The problem is that the station was doubly joint. Prior to Grouping, it was 50% GW & GC Jt, 50% Met & GC Jt, and after Grouping, the same two Joint Committees owned the station. How was it officially described? It's not mentioned in the Railways Act 1921, whilst the Transport Act 1947 has no separate undertaking, but lists "The Great Western and Great Central Railways Joint Committee" and "The Metropolitan and Great Central Joint Committee" in Schedule 3, which also states "any other body whose members consist wholly of, or of representatives of, two or more of the above mentioned bodies", which covers Aylesbury. --Redrose64 (talk) 15:17, 21 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article assessed at Start class. to achieve B class:-
  • It is suitably referenced, and all major points are appropriately cited. = no, but see comments
  • It reasonably covers the topic, and does not contain major omissions or inaccuracies. = yes
  • It has a defined structure, including a lead section and one or more sections of content. = yes
  • It is free from major grammatical errors. = yes
  • It contains appropriate supporting materials, such as an infobox, images, or diagrams = yes
Comments:- references generally are good, mostly through wikilinks. There are two external references in the article. One of these is to a PDF file. It would really be better if these could be converted to in article references, with a refereces section at the bottom of the article, and the reference clearly marked as a PDF file. Also, the Onward connections section needs wikifying. Mjroots (talk) 10:17, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
