Octagon is an unincorporated community in Marengo County, Alabama, United States.[1] Octagon had a post office at one time, but it no longer exists.[2]

History

The community of Octagon obtained its name from the Bethlehem Baptist Church. Only the Baptist church remains.[4] Octagon has been noted for its unusual place name.[5]
