Goodbye World is a 2014 American post-apocalyptic film telling the story of a couple who raise their daughter while living off the grid, until a disaster brings about radical changes in the life they have been living and the way they will view their friends.

Plot

James, a former tech guru who sold all his wealth to build a large off-the-grid castle and his wife Lily live off the grid, raising their young daughter in a haven of comfort and sustainability. When a mysterious mass text "Goodbye World" ripples its way across the country, triggering a crippling, apocalyptic cyber attack, and the government declares Martial Law, their home transitions from sheltered modern oasis abundant with revelry and remembrances, generously enhanced by organic wine and weed to a fortress for the estranged old friends that show up at their door for protection and community. James starts out as a 'I-told-you-so' host to all of his big-city friends (Gaby Hoffmann, Ben McKenzie, Kerry Bishe, Kid Cudi and Mark Webber). However, when a couple of suspicious-looking military grunts suddenly appear at the front door, his little yuppie dinner party turns into a paranoid pack of extremists coping with an uncertain future while defending themselves.
