February 1

NEW NOMINATIONS

Category:Mythological abolitionists

Nominator's rationale: Is this a joke? It's first entry was Moses with the edit summary "Super best friends :0" Dougweller (talk) 06:26, 1 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Books written by Blake Nelson

Nominator's rationale: All 5 members of the category are novels and the "Novels by Foo" is the standard title of categories of this sort. Pichpich (talk) 03:26, 1 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A legitimate category

Yes, I foolishly during an administrators noticeboard incident decided to give that edit summary; the category is useful however in understanding liberators of slaves in legends from around the world. Moses is commonly understood to have freed his people from slavery; I suppose I could cite the passage where he free's some slaves en masse if you want and instances where the word slave is used. I'm sure several other mtyhological figures have freed slaves as well so there will be a few examples listed. CensoredScribe (talk) 07:05, 1 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
