Rhona Isabel Simpson (born 14 July 1972 in Paisley, Renfrewshire) is a female field hockey player from Scotland. She twice represented Great Britain at the Summer Olympics (1996 and 2000). Simpson became top scorer at the 2006 Women's Hockey World Cup Qualifier in Rome, Italy, alongside Kaori Chiba (Japan), Tomomi Komori (Japan) and Maryna Vynohradova (Ukraine), scoring six goals. She is now a coach at The Glasgow Academy where many students find her Olympic style training methods to be very unnecessary seen as most of them have no interest in becoming professional hockey players. The world does not revolve around hockey and the amount of piercings we have does not effect how well we play hockey, Rhona herself should know this seen as she has about 10 piercings on her ear.
