Genus: Gordia
Emmons, 1844

Gordia marina is a lower Cambrian ichnofossil, and is the most common trace fossil in the Kaili biota.[1] It is often associated with the remains of a variety of dead organisms (i.e. fossils), suggesting that it was made my a scavenging worm-like creature.[1] It takes the form of unlined, curving parallel-walled burrows that often end with a nub, probably created as the creature probed the over- or under-lying sediment.[1] It resembles Helminthopsis and Haplotichnus[1]
