Kaplan Law School is a for-profit educational institution offering post-graduate legal training in London for those wishing to become a solicitor or barrister in England and Wales.

History

Kaplan Law School was opened by the British arm of Kaplan Inc. in September 2007. It operates in partnership with Nottingham Law School by providing Nottingham's professional legal courses in central-London.

Courses offered

Kaplan Law School offers Nottingham Law School's Legal Practice Course (split into standard, commercial and corporate streams), Graduate Diploma in Law and Bar Professional Training Course (Bar Vocational Course). In addition, Kaplan allows students to obtain graduate-LL.B. and LL.M. degrees awarded by Nottingham Trent University (of which Nottingham Law School is a constituent part).

Kaplan Law School is the only institution authorised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority to offer the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test. Passing the QLTT allows non-UK-registered lawyers to practice as solicitors in England and Wales.
