Kowon Station is the central railway station for Kowon County, North Korea. It is the junction where the Pyongra Line, which connects Pyongyang to Rason, meets the Kangwon Line, which runs from Kowon to Pyonggang. The station was opened by the Japanese in the early 1900s as Kōgen Station, and was located on the Hamgyong Line, now split between the Pyongra and Kangwon Lines.
