HD suisse is a 24-hour high-definition television channel operated by the Swiss broadcaster SRG SSR idée suisse. This is the 8th channel launched by SRG SSR idée suisse, and currently the only swiss HD channel available.[2]

The channel began broadcasting on December 3rd, 2007, at 20:00h CET.[2]

Programming comes from the four TV networks operated by SRG SSR idée suisse, (Schweizer Fernsehen, Télévision Suisse Romande, Televisione svizzera di lingua italiana and Radio Television Rumantscha). HD suisse is broadcasting in all four national languages of Switzerland, German, French, Italian and Romansh.[2]
