Touch And Go is the second single of post-punk band Magazine, released on April 14 1978[1]. By the time, the debut album, Real Life, also was released.

Unlike the previous single, Shot By Both Sides, the band recorded this material with the complete five line-up and with the keyboards added to the previous guitar-bass-drums sound, because Dave Formula (ex-St. Louis Union) joined shortly after the release of the first single. However, that was also the last single featuring original drummer Martin Jackson, who left in July 1978, after a british tour, being replaced subsequently by Paul Spencer, who lasted a short time and was replaced by John Doyle. Jackson later joined The Chameleons and Swing Out Sister.

The main song, has a promo video, and after its name, the band released a 2 CD compilation, Touch And Go - Anthology - 02.78-06.81[2], which contains the song and the b-side, "Goldfinger". The latter was a cover of the James Bond film soundtrack. Both songs are featured as bonus tracks on the CD reissue of the first album Real Life.
