Timothy Michael Hightower (born May 23, 1986 in Template:City-state) is an American football running back for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. [1]

Biography

He attended high School at Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Va while living in Waldorf, MD. In college, he played for the University of Richmond Spiders. Hightower has set a few records as runningback for the Spiders.

NFL Career

He was drafted in the 5th round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Cardinals with the 149th overall pick.[2] Hightower has scored 13 touchdowns (11 rushing, 2 receiving) this season. He scored the winning touchdown in the NFC Championship played against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLIII. The Cardinals lost the game 27-23.

Tim Hightower is the only Cardinals rookie running back ever to have scored a touchdown in each of his first two games with the franchise. He scored the winning touchdown for the Arizona Cardinals in their last drive of the 2009 NFC Championship Game to propel the Arizona Cardinals to Super Bowl XLIII (the Arizona Cardinals' first), but lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
