Reasons for merge
The following articles have been merged:
- Creatures in The Sword of Truth - not because of notability but more along the lines of modeling this article on the structure of Middle-earth, Concepts in the Wheel of Time series, Westeros, and other articles on fictional universes
- Mord-Sith - because of lack of notability and redundant material
- Wizard's Fire - because of lack of notability
- Slide - because of lack of notability and insufficient content
- Creator - because of lack of notability and insufficient content
- Keeper - because of lack of notability and insufficient content
- Some parts of the parent article The Sword of Truth - because that article should be about the books' plot, creation, and reception etc.
Another reason for the merge is that none of these articles had any "behind-the-scene" content. Regards, Ladida (talk) 14:25, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

The remaining creatures not on this page
There are three pages left in the Category:Sword of Truth Creatures. Of those, Confessor (Sword of Truth) definitely deserves its own page given the amount of content. I'm however much less certain about Shadow people (Sword of Truth), which has several paragraphs, but seems a little light as an article; on the other hand, it would be of disproporionate length if we included it here. Finally, Slide (Sword of Truth) is easily short enough to be included here, but I'm not sure about the category. Should magically altered humans who are still clearly humans (unlike, say, mriswith) be on the "creatures" page? The same thing goes for the Confessors - as I said, their article is too long to merge, but if we put the slide on this page, we should include the Confessor as well, with just a short synopsis and a link to the main article. So, thoughts? Paul Willocx 15:56, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
Gars
I don't think it is ever specifically stated that Gars were made from other wizards. It is said they were created by the wizards of old, but they could be from some other animal or combination of magics.
Yes, but if mriswith were created form other wizards, and gars were created to combat the mriswith, wouldn't it make sense for the gars to have been created the same way as the mriswith? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.171.121.6 (talk) 19:15, August 27, 2007 (UTC)
- No it would make no sense, because the new world wizards wanted to live, the old world wizards wanted to destroy all magic (imperial order thinking) and wizards with both sides of the magic have no need to be changed, they can sense mriswith with their han.
- I would say this is wrong! I think long-tail gars are "normal magical creatures" and the wizards (I think it was a Rahl) changed some to these better short-tail gars to fight the mriswith and that is why there are 2 differnt types (the normal "dumb" beasts and the clever soldier beasts) 84.56.240.58 (talk) 14:13, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
Scarlets young
The article says, that scarlet and gregory are alive at the end of confessors (that's right). But what is with the egg scarlet gets at the end of book 2 "Stone of Tears" Is it dead because the chimes won't let magical creatues be born, like the mud people child? 84.56.240.58 (talk) 14:16, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
