I joined wikipedia in late 2002, pointed here as a result of a blog posting using this website as a source. I edited without account for a bit over a year, signing up later for an account. I was involved in politics edit wars when I first joined, but focused a great deal on my academic specialty (phD economics, completed between 2002 and now). Over the six years I've cared about this damnable website, I've seen the best and the worst. I wish you all luck, but it's evident that my ability to make the encyclopedia better is limited to rvv and making stubs. No goodbyes, please, I find them annoying. Obviously, I'll keep using the sock that I'm certain the checkusers found to go right on rvving and creating isoteric articles on things I find out about in my daily travails - and I'll use that sock as opposed to some other one so that the next time I find myself tempted to edit anything controversial at all, I'll be gone in a flash. Good luck to you all - but it's just not worth it. Quit now.
